I don't understand how we can be trending up as much as we are and struggling in the recruiting area compared to the last few years

Would we rather have him once committed to us or be among the herd of those to have him never committed at all?

Reel him in on NSD Butch & Co!

Competition. Playing time is a big carrot. After playing time, the next desire is championships. We are now competing for players who want championships.

Our recruiting class is going to be very bad this year. Doesn't make sense based in what Butch has done in prior years. And don't say size...most services only give you credit for the top 17 or so

What makes you change your mind on something like this in a weeks time?

It was just a matter of time before this happened once the west coast offers started coming in.

It won't be "very bad" (That's crazy to say a top 20 class is very bad) But its not the kind of class we need to bring in to stay on track without a down year or two. It's certainly a mediocre class by SEC standards at this point unless something changes.

The least that I've seen is for the top 20. The size will make an impact, but it won't be the sole factor.

I think we get Warrior, Brown, and a WR. Kongbo is going to the pac12

Honestly, I'd rather have Warrior and Brown over Kongbo all day. Kongbo is a beast, but hes JUCO, whereas the other two are Beasts and they'll be here longer.

Bama doesn't have down years because of class size. People using that excuse are looking for a silver lining. There isn't one.

And our class isn't "down" because of class size. It's the guys filling in the few spots aren't too highly rated. So on paper it's a mediocre class. Butttt, 3 stars are 50/50. Some go on to be studs, and some go on to be duds. Just like 4 and 5 stars.

This will be the worst class we have while butch is here, and that's a good thing. When we take care of business next season we will be top 5 consistently every year.

He gone. Probably Washington to be closer to his family. I refuse to believe he will go to Bama.

Next year does have a very good shot at being Butch's third top 5 class. I will say that.
