Y'all should try giving birth to a 10+-pound kid 18 days past expected date of delivery.

Home birth, no meds.

Weenies. :)

Don't you have vegetables to sell by the marketplace woman?

Only if I steal them off of someone else's cart.

How ya doin', stranger? To my amazement, I find myself back in Eastern time, waiting on the furniture truck and the hubby to arrive.

We are just over the mountains, in Asheville. My mom is getting old and frail, no serious acute illness, but I need to be within driving range. (My life revolves around I-40, it seems.) We have bought a log home, and I am standing in the middle of a great room with brown floors, brown walls, and brown ceilings. Brown, brown, brown. I like wood, but geeze...

Cali-born-and-raised hubby is trying to learn the local accents. I have to interpret words like "chimbley." Reminds me a lot of the two cops on Sanford and Son, back in the day.

Sorry to see that about your mom. :(.

I'm from the south and have no idea what a chimley is either unless it's a chimney. I broke down past Asheville driving a truck once. Beautiful part of the country. I hope your family finds that a great place to live.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak "alert, coherent and in good spirits" after collapsing during game against Colts - CBS News

ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing medical sources, reported that Kubiak was treated at the hospital with medicine that's "designed to break up clots consistent with people who suffer strokes."

Guess #1: would not be a bit surprised to hear that he has atrial fibrillation, which caused some dizziness and lightheadedness but nothing else, and he's on an anti-coagulant as a just-in-case for stroke prevention.

Guess #2: he had a TIA ("mini-stroke") meaning stroke-like symptoms without actual brain damage.

Guess #3: he has a blood clot that migrated from his legs to his lungs after a long plane trip.

But I'm tilting toward guess #1.

Completely ready to hear that it's none of the above.:peace2:

That's really sad. I hope he recovers fully. I doubt he'll be back this season.
