You're quite welcome. Tell them Brother Blues says hi :) Only one more tip - the women all should wear ridiculous hats and extremely low cut dresses (you'll thank me for this, later).

I don't think a rule for low cut dresses has been established yet but I'd say they are likely anyway with the warm weather. And my girlfriend has hats covered! She told me earlier she is going to put a sign on the door reading "All ladies are required to wear a hat. If you do not have a hat one will be provided for you."

She's a UK grad so she's got the fashion part down. She couldn't help me with the betting part though lol

Funny story (sort of) My boss, whom I'd known for years finally admitted that his brother (last name Meeker - easy enough to look up) was the chairman of Churchill Downs. There IS no other reply, other than 'DUDE, you have to get us box seats,' which was my response. He said 'forget it, he's an a-hole - didn't even come to our father's funeral.' Every year, thereafter, I would say something like 'Man, just suck up to your brother one time and get us seats.' The answer was always the same, which I respect.

Yeah they should be able to have a great view of the start and coming down the stretch. This is something my sister and I have wanted to do for awhile and were lucky enough to be able to afford it this year.

That was an interesting story about that guys brother.

If you go back far enough maybe we're kin and we can get each other some tickets lol.

After careful consideration, I'm going with my original pick 5,15. I'll try and [post some exotics before we leave tomorrow.

Yeah it really does. I've got my dad betting on 18 for me and 2 for my wife. Just $2 but first time we've bet on a race so kinda makes it more fun.

I love both of these horses, but not crazy about their post position. Good luck!
I think I'm gonna key Dortmund (8) over Firing Line (10) Danzig Moon (5) American Pharoah (18) in a tri part-wheel.
I will probably box Far Right (20 spot, but hard to ignore Seattle Slew, Affirmed connections - those horses could all run the triple crown and have enough energy to get us all to happy hour before it ends with money to spare), Frosted (15) American Pharoah (18) and Materiality (3) in an exacta.
Whatever happens, it's still the most exciting 2 minutes in sports - period.

LOL, I'll try not to let the UK grad part bother me - I've been a UT basketball fan since I used to go see the Ernie and Bernie show (trust me, she'll understand :p ) Good idea about the hats, though. Hope the party goes well.

EDIT: I'm kidding about the UK stuff.

GB, I've enjoyed your posts over quite a few years. I've posted what I think I'll bet on, but I really like the 5,15 exacta box 4 bucks. I always think it's best to put down a tri and super bet, in case lightning strikes and you actually hit it.

Thanks MB. I don't know the anything about betting on horses so I'll go with it.

My wife is generally lucky so I'll get her to put the bets in
