'25 KY QB Cutter Boley (Kentucky commit)

This, not sure why some recruiting reporters still act like he is a 2025 and we chose McIntryre. We were out when we got the 2024 and Coen, who was very successful at KY, was hired.

Well, he's technically not reclassified, yet. And he released a top 10 a couple days ago that included Tennessee. I'm about 90% sure he'll reclassify and eventually end up at UK, but neither of those things are a foregone conclusion, yet.

Christian Academy 4-star 2025 quarterback Cutter Boley has cut his list of schools in half ahead of his Thursday commitment.

The 6-foot-5, 203-pound standout, who is ranked as the top recruit in the state of Kentucky, No. 6 quarterback and No. 72 overall prospect in the 2025 class by the industry average 247Sports Composite, is down to Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee, eliminating Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon, and TCU.

Rest of the article kind of makes it seem like this is a UK/Penn State race, with Boley noting both schools like him as a 2024 prospect. Notes that he's still undecided on the idea of reclassifying back to 2024, but all signs point to that happening, and I'd guess he chooses between the two schools who like him as a '24 kid, with UK being the obvious favorite.

Heupel pursued Merklinger because Boley wasn't fully committed to the idea of reclassifying and we weren't willing to wait to find out what he decided to do while missing out on other QBs we liked just as much.

Agreed. Butch/Pruitt days are over. The Wade twins are the last kids Kensucky will sign that we wanted and they only got that one because they lied and told the brother he was a really for real QB.
