Ky Vs Tn

The KY game worries me more out of the ones we have left.
Luckily this team seems to play with a one game at a time, it's all business mentality.
I'm tired of the excuses though that TN hasn't played anyone. We've beat all the ranked teams we've played and everyone has injuries so they need to stop the so and so was hurt garbage.

I think Tennessee will blow out Kentucky with a score something like 63-35.

The kittens talk more and win less than any fanbase in college football. Let them live with their delusions. It will make their meltdown when we annihilate them all the more spectacular.

Just trying to get used to being part of the fanbase whose team has a target on their back now 😎

-5.5 is a super lock for the Vols UK won’t keep it within 2 scores… our run defense is significantly improved and our pass rush will dominate them all game. I expect the score to look somewhat like 49-17…

Chris Rodriguez is one of the best backs in the SEC for sure, but so is Gibbs. Their line is also suspect in passing situations, giving up 26 sacks this season so far, half way through the season for almost 200 yards lost. Their offense absolutely does NOT match up well against our style of defense. We stop the run and pressure Levis and this game is over.

Don't be fooled by Kentucky they are a very solid team. They played good defense and run the ball. This could be a trap game.

Take a look at my previous post and check the offensive stats out. They actually do not run the ball well. They are 6th in the SEC in passing offense and 12th in total rushing offense, and last in YPC averaging only 3.1 yards. I seriously don't think they have the athletes to make this game competitive. They are like LSU in a sense, they are solid and have athletes, but don't' do anything special.

The Kentucky fans on their board legitimately think they are on par with, or better than Bama. They have a solid defense, and a mediocre offense. Their O line is also a weakness, and look how well that played out for LSU. They think they can control the clock and shorten the game to keep themselves in it or beat us. I just don't see it. Alabama is littered with 4/5 star talent and NFL draft picks defensively. I don't think they have the pass rush to disrupt Hooker, especially if LSU/Bama could not with top 10 NFL draftees on the edge. They think because they have played Ole Miss and beat Miss State they are prepared for our offense.... again I just don't see it. Vols should win by 3 scores or so.

KY fans may DEFINITELY think they are on par with Bama but not LEGITIMATELY. Even if you were to say Bama is a bit down, they had one of the top Defenses in the country before that game and Bryce Young played like he was possessed.

KY has a decent Defense and they have a supposed Heisman candidate for a QB, so I can see how they think they will do well. They just dont get it though. In Neyland, with Tillman AND Hyatt, our O will score probably every single time they get the ball. I mean, we have only punted 3x in SEC play this year.

And while our secondary sucks, the D frontline is some mean and nasty critters who can break a QB in half. I havent heard any stories of wonder about their Oline.

Unless we crap the bed, kitties are going to have a very bad day I think. Its always been bad but I think Neyland is just off the charts right now for opposing teams. Consider you are a young man coming into that. Its got to be like the gladiator scene entering the colosseum - but YOU are the slave about to get executed. Zip, Zip Zip, And by the time you settle down to play, TN is already up by 3 scores and you are playing from far behind and your strategies just went out the window.

When Kentucky gets slaughtered the Mildcats fans on the Wildcat Lair will blame the slaughter on Mark Stoops, they will say Tennessee tried to run up the score and is classless, they will say the Tennessee fans were classless and they will cry because they wont be going to a New Years Six Bowl Game like they thought they would going into the season.

And when they do, I don’t want to hear another peep from KY fans. They will go 8-4 at best this season and looking at finishing 4th in the east LOL!

Couple interesting stats. We are 5th in the nation at covering the spread. While Kentucky is tied for 2nd (with Georgia) for going under the o/u total.
