Kyle Allen transferring "immediately" from Texas A&M

Looks like Allen will end up outside of SEC (projected to OU, possible Oh State, Houston), I am guess this is a condition of his release?

If it wasn't for Manziel he'd already be fired.

And... Manziel wouldn't have been so awesome had that Mike Evans guy not went up and continously out athleted teams for the ball. That saved aTm as much as anything.

I think so, he actually inherited much of the DL and OL during the Johnny days, which gave them the ability to knock off Bama and compete. Now you have a whole class that has gone through, no way their defense will be good when all you have to practice against is that strange offense.

He seems to be a nice guy, but whatever he is doing I have no idea. I've been saying for 3-4 years TAM is probably the easiest team to defend, scheme wise in the nation, yet people keep screaming the praises. I really have no issue with him or the school, but I don't call what they do "football" either. I think he is a nice guy but that is about it.

You're so close to being spot on. The real answer is that Sumlin ran out of Mike Sherman recruited and coached OL, WRs and QBs. Sumlin left the cupboard bare at Houston and is doing the same thing at ATM.

Even though the defense was not great his first year they had some play makers upfront as well. The defense just got worse and worse, I think they were a little better this year, maybe the Chavis effect.

I doubt it's OU. They already have four QBs on the roster (minus Knight) and a 4 Star committed in this signing class.

Reminder that Kevin Sumlin:

-Makes $5M a year
-Is 1-6 against ranked teams at home at A&M (but weirdly 6-5 on the road???)
-Has finished fourth or lower in the SEC West the last three years
-Just ran off two five-star QBs

But please, Texans, hire him away.

Sumlin is a couple Mike Evans jumpballs away from being irrelevant.
