Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

That’s not really a sound strategy. The judge can dismiss, if he does that.

Keep in mind these are the same prosecutors who apparently just forgot to prove the curfew violation. He was also making himself look like a complete moron when it comes to firearms. I think he’s just not very good.
Why would they trot this guy out on a national interest? Is it a case of the sh** rolling downhill?

After watching this today, I have two opinions, either the prosecutor is incompetent and is dumb and trying to get the man off, or he is just incompetent.

I think you’re misreading this. It says “decisions from the bench”, as in how he’s handling the case. Not “decision from the bench” as in verdict.

he means that the WaPo knows it will be an acquittal when they think it should be guilty so they are making excuses for why they are still right - it's the judge's fault

I was just throwing it out to explain what seems to be a mistake by the prosecutor

I’m just telling you why it would be a bad idea to do that intentionally. Especially with a judge who seems like he’s giving wide latitude to the constitution in this case.

The first question was over the line. If he had started out with the rephrased version, some judges might have let him make the point that he’s had the opportunity to tailor his testimony but he planted the seed with the first question.

Edit: Haha. I turned it off to get some work done but apparently he brought up the comment about using the AR on looters without getting permission first? Whooo boy. Maybe they are dumb enough to try this strategy.

I am at same place I always was - "no good piece of crap but not a murderer." What has surprised me is how strong the self-defense evidence has been.
How is it surprising? It was pretty apparent from everything that came out (videos, social media posts, etc.) that each of those that got shot were after the kid.

They have had some additional footage that came out. At least it was new to me.

Yep. He was an idiot being attacked by other idiots and the other idiots paid for it. Doesn't make him guilty of murder but he's still an idiot for involving himself.

Reminds me of Leach's comments about a post game brawl

"The root of it is dumb no matter what the root of it was. The continuation of it was dumb. I would have it solidly in the category of dumb. Where the dumb started I am not entirely sure."

I'll say the same thing I always say when a cop uses unnecessary force against someone resisting arrest - Put yourself in a bad situation and the odds increase that something bad happens to you. Does not make it right but it is the way of the world.
