Btw, when I said UT needs an elite RB in '20, that, I don't think Gray can't be an elite RB or at least, a very similar back to Chandler. That's a compliment, I have mad respect and love for Chandler and his big play capability.

I know it has probably been discussed multiple times and I siap where we were looking to take 2 blue shirts. But with the cap at 25, having already having 20 committed if that doesn’t change, that leaves 5 spots open. I’ve seen we have legit chances with OP, Wright, Hasslewood, Brown, Crouch, Gray, to ‘oto to, and a couple others. How do you guys honestly feel this will play out numbers wise?

2 blue shirts = 27 total. Numbers work out perfect in your post. I think you got it figured out brah.

I really like Emery, but Davis is equally talented. IMO you can't go wrong with either one
Its hard to judge sometimes, both guys have a ton of talent but I would be more disappointed if LSU missed on Davis. Emery is more of an avoider and has that extra gear for sure (with cuts and bursts) - Davis>Emery but I'm probably in the minority on that. Both guys should do very well at the next level.

Not sure if its been posted, but there's been rumors for a while that he has a possible kid on the way and that's what steered him to LSU.

Whats a "possible kid."

Did you mean to suggest he "possibly has a kid on the way?"
Yes. The rumors are his family is steering him to stay closer to home since he supposedly has a baby on the way. Have no idea if it's just bitter UGA fans or not, but I have seen similar things from LSU fans. This is from the Georgia board, "I hate rumors, but some connected people on 247 continue to reference a “family situation” led him back to LA. There is speculation he has a kid on the way. No clue if that’s true or not, but that’s what is being tossed around."

When looking for answers, always assume the UGA fan is lying.

lol but I'm UGA fan. I think I do a decent job being objective with my posts here, but I guess I could have some blind spots.
Forgive me, man; I painted with a broad brush there. Maybe there's 1 or 2 of you UGA's that's ok...no more than 2. 😉

lol it’s all good. Generally when I see an obnoxious troll it’s a UGA fan, so I understand. They’re almost as embarrassing as the barkers...almost.
917, I've always said that the worst of UT, is the worst that there is...so I know where you're coming from. Overall, we Vols are the greatest fan base in the world; but, our fringe and village idiots...WOW!

I honestly think Davis is a very good Rb. I also think at times he's very stiff and stands straight up on some of his runs, but as big as he is and how he moves on a consistent basis i feel he will be very good at the next level. To me Emery is more shifty and has that extra gear.

De1, u may know something I don't, but I would put up mad money that they are both going to LSU. So, come on down Eric Gray ! I am more than fine with that. Imo, Gray and Beasley (still want him as a safety) will be fine for this class. Now in '20, UT needs an elite RB

With situations like this one i can only speak on what someone else in another state tells me. I trust his info, however he also told me Emery was already a silent to LSU. Also recently Emery still plans on talking/OV to UT and bringing some family with him.

Completely agree on your thoughts on them, pretty much what I see as well. Man, I was just watching some highlights of Emery's senior year, wow, very impressive, definitely a homerun hitter. What is hard to judge on Emery is he just doesn't get hit much, I have no idea how he does it but he can avoid stuff without moving much even.... very impressive with senior highlights... but in the back of my mind is... can he take the hits.

He would be an interesting fit for UT. Just saying.
I think 2 years of eligibility.

Has he entered the portal?

No, but.... (I guess it depends on whether a school actually goes along with the tampering rules or not)

My post from 2018 still rings true, he's probably not a 20+ carries kind of guy.
