It's a fair point. TE just isn't used in the passing game much in this offense. I'd say both of our guys playing at TE are among our best players. It would've been nice to see some wrinkles to get them an easy look here and there. With all the injuries at receiver, Warren and Castles should get at least 10 catches between them a game. Don't know why a TE in this system can't get at least 35-40 catches a season
And the other games we lost....UF, Bubba....? What about aTm, USCe...? It's like the QB run (should do more often - even the announcers said so on Sat). We've got weapons, but don't use them all - even when losing. Back to inexplicable. This year, Missouri's defensive front line is excellent. I'd love to see how many plays we kept the TEs in to provide extra blocking. That would make it explicable.
That would mean about 15 targets per game. With all the injuries at receiver, Warren and Castles should get at least 10 catches between them a game. Don't know why a TE in this system can't get at least 35-40 catches a season
Actually, I think idea is to use the tight ends and stay on the field until a score happens. That would mean about 15 targets per game.
How many offensive snaps did we have last game?
I'm assuming it's 61, since Milton played 61 snaps. . .
So. . . you think our TEs should receive about 25% of the offensive plays?
With all the injuries at receiver, yes I would find some way to get them the ballThat would mean about 15 targets per game.
