glad you aren't our coach

Sorry Gule, armchair happens to be right on this occasion. Maryland's guards are very athletic and it won't be like pressing Gonzaga. I agree with him that it would result in too many easy shots for Maryland after they break the press.

Can't take the first half off on this team and expect to win. After Zaga, the girls know they have to start like they finished!

I expect we'll know in the first 10 minutes if were going to make it a competitive game or not.

If they build a double digit lead turn the lights off--this isn't Gonzaga.

I wouldn't have Ariel on Lauren. She's their best scoring option, and is too tall and has long arms. She can shoot over Ariel all night long. Better IMO to have Jordan on her, or bring more size and play Nared at wing for a more traditional perimeter lineup. The three guard lineup can backfire with Maryland's perimeter firepower.

Yeah, I was thinking that too but if she plays low, active hands she make it hard for Mincy to penetrate and all of MD guards are good, on paper they're guards are better, this game will show us how much our guards have improve from last year to this year. Go Lady Vols.

But I can see Holly putting Ariel on Lexie Brown too, MD is a nightmare matchup, thats why I think Nia can be huge, two guards 3 forwards, would not be a bad look against Maryland, with Burdick or Nared playing the three.

Be in attack mode ladies to the rim and put them on their heels, hit em in the mouth first, cos they are not a shot blocking team. Go Lady Vols. Whoever scores more than 70 points win?

Lady Vols by 3.

I think letting Ariel match up against Brown is a better option. Also Holly would be smart to post up Jordan and Nared on any of there guards the reason is the two are bigger and strong.

I was thinking that would probably be better, but Lexie is faster and can create all kinds of havoc if she blows by and causes a help defender to slide over and free someone else for an open shot.

I do think Nared and Nia Moore will need to play more because Maryland is a big team, and they will be able to exploit the 3 guard/2 forward lineup with their size. Those two need to be ready for when their number is called.

Win or lose I just want to see Holly coach a good game and her players execute and play hard and may the best team win.

Now that was a fold. We had a complete meltdown, against a team that was good but nowhere near great, before the game was 15 minutes old. Never seen anything like it with this program. Last year Maryland had an AA who killed us. Great players always have great games against us, for some reason. This is winnable game IF we play well.

I do believe it was another injury riddled team that CHW had,if i remember correctly, the bench was short from late in the regular season and all thru the Tournamnet

weren't they playing good basketball with the added time off in between games and looking wore out in the 2nd games ?

hopefully the Lady Vols next year will be fairly injury free for a change
