Thanks for posting the pics Cali ... very nice of you. I think we have a very special team this year. We def need something to cheer ourselves up. Hope to catch a game or two this year.

Nice photos--good job. Maybe they should be playing an early spring tourney in Arizona rather than Utah! Might be better, seriously. Will be interesting to see how coaches divvy up the pitching duties this year. We have the two Renfroes plus Tarrango, who is talented, plus a freshman who's supposed to be very good.

OK, it won't let me post her name but she's the pitcher from Cornersville who redshirted last season.

Early spring tournaments are great--but only if the coaches take the team to warm-weather locations. Duh! Utah is not warm in February. Glad the team played well out there, but why go nearly all the way across the country to play weak teams in cold weather? Of the six teams in the tournament, only one was halfway competitive.

Half of our roster is from the west coast...it gives the families of those players a chance to see their kids play and hangout with them since...most of the season/year they're spent on the other coast

Always like seeing the pics and news -- thanks Mels dad !---I noticed E. Gabriel had a shaky first LV start -- In your opinion, was it freshman nerves ?

Guys, St. George is in the desert less than 2 hours from Vegas. It's normally nice weather this time of year but the entire west has been cold and rainy all winter. It had warmed back up, but the weekend of the Red Desert Classic another cold spell moved in. We could have played the tournament in Palm Springs and it wouldn't have been much nicer.

I was planning on driving to St. George but I didn't want to risk driving that far and have to deal with a bunch of canceled games. I was monitoring the weather and knew it would be bad.

I see we go to Tampa this weekend. It looks like we will be slugging it out with South Florida in their tournament. South Florida is ranked #12, so I look forward to seeing what happens. GO VOLS!

Yeah, usually this time of year, it's normally in the upper 50's to mid 60's around St. George. For anyone not living in the area, you can add another 10-15 degrees to that on a sunny day. 60's here is quite different than 60's in the East. Best friend and I planned to drive down for the week, but emergency situation changed that.

The USF campus is < hour away from my house. Going to try to make the LV softball games on Saturday. Any Fl Vols around to make it a Orange party?
