Lady Vols win game two.... 15-5 in 6 innings.... Lauren Gibson with 3 home runs and 9 rbi in the game.

Ellen pitched but wasn't sharp... gives up a bases loaded walk then a grand slam in the 5th inning when the score was 11-0.

We flew into Memphis Today.... will head down to Oxford, MS tomorrow for game 3.... which will be a surprise for Melissa.... she is expecting us in Knoxville on Monday.

Go Vols!

Unfortunately the KNS poorly covers our most elite sports program. The SEC does a good job and I read about Hannah getting run over at the plate by Ladner. Can give a fans perspective? Was it a dirty play? Is Hannah okay?

Going for the sweep today would keep us in first place a game ahead of Florida in the SEC.

When is Gabriel going to pitch again? Has she pitched since the bama series?

she pitched against tn state a few weeks ago...a little hurt no sense in using her...if she was healthy she would see a little action in the mid week games but i'd rather her rest and get healthy than throwing her out there

Well since they will put SEC hitters at a major disadvantage in post-season we'll see. Also as the game progresses the Strike Zone gets smaller

The only games I've seen in person this year were the Alabama series. The strike zone was fair and equal for both teams in that series.

But assuming you are right and it is too small, what if it's too small again next year? And the year after that? We just don't use Gabriel?

Only going by what I read on here - So sure UT will use her but they better have alot of hitting to make up for it I guess. She will will need to make adjustments over the summer also.

Erin is a little hurt right now...just letting her get healthy no need in using a hurt pitcher

I agree 100%. I was questioning the poster that said she shouldn't pitch because of the way the umps were calling the strike zone.
