Roster is set for next season. No more players will be joining the 2016 team.

PG-Reynolds, Cooper, Carter
SG-Deshields, Middleton
SF-Nared,Jackson
C-Russell, Harris
PF-Nunn, Dunbar

That will be the team 11 players and we'll have 6 scholarships to give for 2017. If anyone leaves after junior season that goes up to 7 or as high as 9.

I wouldn't put Carter in there just yet.

I only hope that our starters don't miss any/many games this coming season. Looking at the roster, there seems to be quite a drop off from the starters to the subs.
We should be able to sign a boatload of good players for 2017. In fact, it's imperative that we do.

I'm expecting us to be picked around third or fourth this season in the conference and that might be good maybe the team will respond differently. To me looks like the SEC is weaker this season after SC who is loaded.

I don't remember the names, but it was the big girl. I just remember 3 point shooting and driving right by us. We looked lost and scared. Not one of my favorite experiences:sad:.

Boxer, La Gran Dame is very ill. She will be twelve soon so we are very concerned; taking lots of pics of her with the little one. Making memories for the baby.

Very sorry to hear of the illness. Best wishes during this difficult time.

Hey small, good to hear from you.. sorry to hear that :( I'll definitely send positive thoughts and good intentions your way..once they get around 9 and up, they really start developing problems. I wish I could recommend a good vet in the knox area, but I take mine to a really good place in Cleveland Tennessee..that's a great thing with the pics, as I'm doing the same...my little dude is almost one year old now and almost walking..my where does the time go

Thanks, boxer. She has a great local vet and is also being screened and cared for by UT. Cancer came back negative, but still have MRI and genetic screnning to be done. She will be 12 in September; we know that boxers average 12 years....just never want to admit it will happen to yours though. I know what you mean, La Princesse had her first birthday last week; she loves her boxer and her boxer loves her. Not walking yet, your little guy may beat her to it.

I can see being behind SC but who else is there ? MSt?

Miss State returns all of their starters.

It's yet to be seen if Nunn can replace Bashaara's production. Going into next season, it would be hard to justify putting a team minus a key starter ahead of a team that swept the season series and returns everyone.

I see it SC, Miss St., Tennessee or Florida, then a bunch of teams about the same. Kentucky still has all five starters back with no bench but they could still do some things so they could be good next season as well.

With the addition of Stephanie White and Carolyn Peck don't be surprised if Vandy finds itself in the Top 4/5. Their recruiting class along with a motivated (although undersized) Marques Webb will be very interesting.

The title of this thread is wrong: just because they are being recruited by UT, that automatically makes the recruiting targets Lady Vols? Not a big deal but I just wanted to point that out...

If you don't put "Lady Vols" in the title, you get a bunch of idiots responding who can't tell this isn't the football forum.

It all starts with summer work outs. . . The player I have approached about working with her this summer, has now approached Holly. . . I have workouts aimed at working with this girl on shooting, Speeding up her attack on layups off the dribble, finishing with initiating contact on drives and and better use of her natural athleticism. . . I should find out later this week if I am given permission to work out with this player.

You're persistent, Coach, I'll give you that. Good luck to you

Hope you are successful in your efforts. One reading between the lines can probably figure out your protege,if I may call her that. At any rate, best of luck to you and her. We will look for a vast improvement in someone over the summer. And maybe more players will accept extra instruction to help them.

I agree with that but the 1st post should probably have the year/class for each player listed. We all could assume it's for 2017 but with no year in there it's in question. It probably needs to be added to the thread title as well.

I like the list, but I guarantee, we sign at least 3
2 guards if not 3, Holly knows are guards are aa weakness, she addressed the post, we will add some, but she will be a guard oriented recruiter going forward, she lost a gift to the final four, because she had one guard with experience, Reynolds, and two hands. Carter should not have played, but, I will admit, Jackson and really sadly Middleton were never brought along enough to be able to effectively play in the elite 8. Had Carter had both hands, we would have taken Syracuse, even, with Graves injury. We were stopped in the back court, too much time. Holly is a point guard at heart, check the rafters! She will, get guards, and if she fails, well it will be failing her way

In all fairness, Holly was out coached and we were out played. You can recruit all the great guards you want, but you have to be able to take them to the next level. We have yet to prove we can get that done.
