Besides Jamie, I think everyone should go and let's just start fresh. Losing in the second round is basically just as bad as not making the tournament when success for the program is considered a Final Four. If we lose the recruits so be it, I have very little faith they would grow based on what I've seen from this coaching staff anyway. A quality coach can come in and start anew. I seriously doubt he or she could do much worse than where we are now.

We made it to the S16 last year because we had an INCREDIBLY favorable matchup in ASU.

We beat OSU because they're even worse coached than we are.

I agree to an extent on your last statement, but if they are just going to let them play a "pick up" type of offense, at least we've recruited some scores/shooters, so hopefully we improve because of that. lol

UT brings in more revenue than most other schools in the country for WBB.

Dick who? Is he a coach? Russell will need a drive and willness to play/work hard or no coach will be able to help. I don't think she has been coached at all, but she does not play hard. Call me what you want, but that is true. Sorry.

They don't run plays for Alexa. They expect her to create her own shot. Why can't they run double screens so she can shake her defender, get her feet set, and fire away?

They did the same thing when Angie Bjorklund was there. They pass around the perimeter to her, but they never ran plays the way that a UConn did for Kaleena Mosqueda Lewis.

If Tennessee had a balanced offensive system, then Alexa would be a much more productive player. She's doomed playing for Holly.

This was a strange, and certainly winnable game, and I question a lot of the coaching decisions (or lack thereof), including an inability to find a good look for someone in that terrible 0-12 4th quarter stretch, no plan to cover Mariya Moore -- who hit 5-5 from 3 -- and that weird decision not to foul with a minute left.

That being said, I think everyone is minimizing how talented Louisville is and that they were planning at home -- which definitely energized them in the 4th quarter. Yes, all those terrible losses in the season kept us from hosting, but c'mon, everyone's acting like this was another Ball State upset.

Jaime Nared played a fantastic game. Russell should have been more involved and aggressive offensively but otherwise, yet another solid game and double-double (giving her a record 19th of the season for UT juniors).

But we said all along that if one of Middleton, Jackson, or Reynolds doesn't knock down some shots, it's going to be VERY hard to win this game. They went 4-19. And there were a LOT of open looks and a LOT of airballs. There's plenty to blame with coaching but it's really, really, really hard to compensate for that.

And TBH Walz isn't a special coach. With the talent LVille has they should be a 1-2 seed. Louisville and Ohio State struggled much more than they should have this season. But most people fully admit McGuff is a very bad coach. For whatever reason people actually think Walz is a good coach.

I am down on LV BB obviously, and Warlick in particular....but I really like Nared. A good coach could maybe take Nared, Russell, Deshields and the incoming class to the F4.

Practically any coach. Check out some rec or church leagues if there aren't any D1 coaches interested (why would they - we're a dormant program after all).
