Its going to be interesting to watch what happens to UConn when Geno hangs it up. They will be in the same situation, having to replace somebody who is irreplaceable. Hopefully, by then, the LVs will be on the way back.

I think Shea Ralph will do a better job keeping Uconn in the running than Holly did.

11 losses...it would be interesting to see how many losses TOTAL we have had since 1985.

131 losses from 1985 to 2012 (4.85 losses per year)...
31 losses...and counting...from 2012 to present (7.75 loss/year...almost double)...

PLEASE, as a fan base...PLEASE let us not become apathetic adn allow our Lady Vols to fade into the dark night.[/QUOTE

Looking at those data, it's sicking to think of how much worse the LV program will become with this coaching staff. If it's not clear by now to the Admin and Holly lovers that something is terribly wrong, well count me out. It's bad enough now that I cannot watch them play. Can't imagine what next season will be like if Holly is allowed back to coach this team. NIGHTMARES. Get ready.

Warlick's Comments about falling out of the top 25 and breaking the streak:

"It's really an amazing streak and a tribute to all of the players and coaches who've contributed to the Lady Vols' rich tradition of excellence,'' Tennessee coach Holly Warlick said. "The results this season haven't been what we wanted, but I assure you my staff and I are working extremely hard to ensure that our players reach their potential and, in turn, help our program attain the level of success we expect at Tennessee.''

Omg. Her comments should make every UT fan even more incensed. Everything is ok. She "assures" us they are working very hard. Very hard to get into the tournament when you started the yr off as a favorite for the Final Four and a # 1 seed.

They just did a story on the CBS Morning News about the Lady Vols dropping out of the polls. Not ESPN, but CBS. During a news show that rarely covers sports (other than the SB).

I agree, it is a tribute, but its also a comment on the staff who couldn't keep it going.

The video says what I have been saying! Holly Just let them play basketball and stop micromanaging/forcing them into a system we do not have. We have a transition (got the rebound and push) offense lets push the damn ball.

and playing our version of Shaka Smart's "havoc" every game--mostly full-court pressure all game. Not sure we have the defenders for it....We'd have to play Jackson and Moore a lot more, which might be OK. We definitely need more uptempo as our coaches and players are pretty dim when it comes to half-court offense. You HAVE to make threes in today's game--Notre Dame had 8 in the /first half/ yesterday--and we barely even play our best shooter. That's that great Warlick mind, stuck in the the 1980s, at work.

My point exactly! If we are going to run that defense we need players who are agressive and a shot blocker. Players get beat and Moore will atleast block the shot (or attempt to) Russell will just stand there and barely get her hands up. This season is still salvageable (if we can just make a few adjustments)

1.) Play Dunbar, Moore, Jackson, Middleton more (atleast these 3 will attempt to score/play defense)

2.) Play Reynolds, Carter, Nared, less

3.)Either Diamond & Dunbar or Te'a & Dunbar should be on the court at all times (we need players that defenses have to respect) There should never be a stretch where there is no Diamond, Te'a, Dunbar on the floor thats where you get your stretches where we can't score.

I think she may have finally gotten the wake up call she needed and will have to listen because she know it puts her on the hot seat now. She has already lost our one record that UConn probably wouldn't have ever touched but if she gets us to a point where we don't make the tournament this year (lose our final two games and the first game of the SEC Tournament) it is no way she could come back next year and imo it will truly hurt her legacy as a Lady Vol great.
