We're holding our own, for sure, and have had some countering opportunities--but not doing enough with them. Poor crosses by Nelson, as usual; too much dribbling by Simmonds. Nobody is shooting the ball. Simmonds just doesn't have the overall skill level and decision-making that good center-forwards have. Lawton playing well as are our mids. Price is struggling. Every time Michel passes her
the ball, she gets pressed and loses the ball along the touchline. Renie makes me nervous and now Kirt has put Washington in the game.

I think the SEC is a better conference than the Big10, and our conference experience is showing tonight, even though we're not
an especially good team overall. Meaning we can win this game if we stay active and focused.

Nobody gives up lame goals like we do. It's almost comical. Zazarra has got to know what the footing is like on the field--duh.
If dew has made the field slick, make note of it and shorten your runup. It's not rocket-science. Just think. We've now had two of the most ridiculous
keeper gaffes in college soccer this year.

Keepers should not put the goal kicks in the middle of the field for this very reason. If the ball is picked off, the opposition is suddenly with the ball in front of our goal. This is why your supposed to kick the ball to one side or the other. She apparently was kicking it up the middle of the field, because that's where the ball ended up. And then she flopped heavily to the ground and wasn't able to get up in time. Great game last week, now puts us in a hole that's going to be hard to recover from mentally more than physically.
