Does Arkansas' style of play translate beyond college? Their offensive strategy is basically kick ball and crash. They are great at it. I've watched most of their games over the past three years. I guess they just have more athleticism than most teams they play. Their hustle though defensively is relentless.

I hate that style of play. Very reminiscent of Wambach ball from our women's national team.

Tennessee Falls to No. 6 Arkansas, 5-0​

Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Tennessee soccer dropped a game on the road, falling 5-0 to No. 6 Arkansas.

Anaiyah Robinson turned in a brace for the Razorbacks (10-1-1), while Jailyn Brownlee, Ella Rogers and Ainsley Erzen rounded out the scoring. In goal, Keegan Smith had six saves on the night.

Ally Brown created two chances for UT (7-2-3) as Kennedy Price, Mac Midgley, Hayley Howard and Sarah Greiner recorded one apiece while Ally Zazzara picked up seven saves.

Robinson opened scoring with two early goals for the Hogs. Her first goal came in the 11th minute after a downfield delivery from Kelsey Oyler that found Kate Doyle in the box. Doyle then quickly delivered to Robinson who found the back left corner of the net.

A minute later, Robinson added a second to the top left corner of the goal.

Brown created Tennessee's first chance of the night in the 20th minute after a corner kick found her in the box.

Arkansas' third goal of the half was scored in the 21st minute after a free kick found Avery Wren in the who got a head on it to Brownlee who sent it in.

The Razorbacks final goal in the first half was a header from Rogers (33').

Hayley Howard put one on target for UT in the 43rd minute but Smith recorded the save.

Tennessee's Mac Midgley tried to get something going for the Lady Vols in the first nine minutes of the second half, sending a long strike on frame.

Kennedy Price and Sarah Greiner also created chances for the Big Orange in the second frame but both shots were saved by Arkansas' Smith.

The Hogs then went on to find a 73rd minute goal via Erzen, who snuck one in on the post after Sabrina Jones delivered it to her in the box.

The Tennessee women's soccer team returns to Regal Stadium for a 2 pm ET matchup versus No. 9/14 Auburn.

Admission is free for all preseason and regular-season soccer matches. Additionally, For fans planning to attend, we will have one shuttle (ADA accessible) picking up at Ag Campus and dropping off at the top of Cronan and Stephenson. Shuttles will begin at 12:30 pm and run until one hour postgame. Please note that Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect.

Pregame Senior Day recognition will take place at 1:25 pm ET. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and plan accordingly.

TRACKING THOMAS: Thomas, who is in her final season on Rocky Top, currently ranks second on Tennessee's all-time goals list with 40 and sits just three back of Kylee Rossi's program-best 43. Thomas recorded her first goal of the season and 40th career goal in the 21st minute against Missouri. The three-time All-SEC player and 2021 All-American appeared in just two matches last season before suffering a season-ending injury. During the 2022 season, Thomas scored 13 goals and posted the best goals-per-game average in the SEC at .68.

ALLY BROWN HOLDIN' IT DOWN: Junior Ally Brown has been an impactful and consistent force for the Lady Vols, earning a spot on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Midseason Top 100. The Brentwood, Tennessee, native has played a team-leading 1,069 minutes while also recording a goal and two assists. During UT's win against Missouri, Brown assisted on the game-winner to Thomas. Additionally, the defender has been a mainstay on the defensive side of the ball and aided in UT's seven clean sheets on the year.

SAMMI IN THE ORANGE: Graduate transfer Sammi Woods has made in impact in her sole season on Rocky Top so far. The Saline, Michigan, native currently leads the team in goals (4), shots (20) and shots on goal (10).

SCOUTING AUBURN: No. 14 Auburn currently sits third in the SEC with 11 conference points. The Tigers are coming off a 1-1 tie with Alabama. Prior to their draw versus the Tide, Auburn logged eight consecutive clean sheets, which tied the longest streak by a Southeastern Conference team in history. Additionally, Karen Hoppa's squad ranks inside the top three in the NCAA in goals scored (41), goals per game (3.00), goal differential (+35), and shutout percentage (0.786).

MATCHUP HISTORY: Tennessee is 13-11-4 in the all-time series vs. Auburn and holds a 6-2-2 record when meeting at home. The Tigers have never shut Tennessee out on the road.
