bring on the slappers.

It will be interesting to see if the coaches use Holcomb more in the games ahead, getting another speedy slapper in the lineup as we face better pitching in the days ahead. The coaches have options.

Good problem to have....McSwain has been swinging at hot bat Weimer has been getting on base if I was to take a guess at it would look like this

Leach 2b
Vines 1b
Gregg ss
Geer RF
McSwain DP
Seggren 3b
Weimer C
McClain CF
Holcomb LF

I have been wondering if Rowland is in the doghouse a bit after Kentucky.

Osario and Littlejohn are right-handers, so having Holcomb in the lineup makes sense. But I won't be surprised if both Holcomb and McClain struggle against the riseball.

I would drop Geer at least one spot and maybe two. I also believe right or wrong that Lockman is still the catcher. She needs to produce and do it now. Holcomb above McClain I think as well. JMHO

You want as many lefty batters as you can stuff in the lineup vs Bama. Since all our catchers bat right handed we'll have a righty there. Geer will be in there as well. Mc Swain probably want catch so looks like three right handed batters. I think I'd like to see Holcomb leading off and Leach in the two spot. Holcomb is totally is slapper while Leach can hit the ball hard for power when she tries that approach. Vines three and Gregg four. Geer five and McSwain six. Seggern, catcher, McClain. Rowland probably needs to be in there although she is down to .259 and hasn't hit a lick in the last several games.

I don't think you'll see Leach out of that leadoff spot for the rest of her career. She's second in the team in on-base percentage behind Gregg and leads the team in walks by far.

Ralph likes Holcomb and McClain in the eight and nine spot because if they get on Leach as you said can hit for power and then drive them in. It wouldn't work the other way around I don't think.

But Ralph does have a lot of options doesn't he?

Ole Miss home run in the 8th inning to win first game of a doubleheader, and they had a 1-0 lead in the second game.

RE UT lineup, I think Lockman will catch though she may face some competition from Weimer moving ahead. Lockman has been hitting better, and Weimer has impressed me at the plate too.

The coaches probably have to decide which left-hander hitter to play--Holcomb or Rowland, one a speedy slapper, the other with more pop. We need Rowland to start hitting; she is supposed to have some power and we need to start seeing it. I think she's a good hitter but seems in a bit of a slump. I don't think Leach will ever leave the leadoff spot--she's one of the best leadoff hitters in the country, IMO, a very good and underrated player.

South Carolina over Florida State 7 to 2.

The number two ranked Florida State Seminoles have now lost three games on the season, all three to SEC schools!

Mississippi State Over Georgia 9 to 4.

Texas A&M over Arkansas 3 to 0.

Florida over Kentucky 4 to 0.

Missouri over Auburn 6 to 1 at Auburn. Auburn's Haley Fagan strikes out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th. Karma.

If Tennessee finishes the conference schedule with a 6 and 6 record it appears likely they will finish in the top six in the conference standings.

They control their own destiny as they have the teams ahead of them in the standings on their schedule and the teams immediately behind them (with the exception of Auburn) on their schedule.

Really wish they'd either have CJ bunt or swing away. She's bouncing it to 3rd 75% of the time since they've moved her to bat left. Too good of a player for that.

Too many strikeouts. We've fanned 5 times in 2 innings. I know she's good but get the bat on the ball and put some pressure on their defense. Not sure why Geer is hitting second given her recent struggles--odd decision. I'm hoping one or more of our players gets hold of one of Osario's fast balls and sends it out of the park.

She leads the country in K's or is in the top 3 all she does is strikeout batters

What did McSwain not do--not watching game. Late to come in on a fly ball?

It's all about getting hits in key spots.....

It was a long fly ball she turned the wrong way tried to recover and ball fell right through her glove.

she didn't get under a long fly ball and let it get her out of position to catch it to end a inning.
