Ran across this while browsing this morning. Looks like the LV's have a jump on the 2016 class already. :)

Thrall sophomore Chelsea Seggern has verbally agreed to play softball at the University of Tennessee in 2016.

The Lady Vols went 52-14 last year, finishing 22-6, good for first place in the SEC East. Seggern went a perfect 9-0 for the Tigerettes in district play, recording 111 strikeouts in her wins. She also tallied a team-leading 18 RBIs.

That's great news for TN Lady Vols softball team. Where is this Thrall school? I'm not sure where that's located?

Yeah, I dont know enough about that to comment. If the Weeklys take her thats all I need to know.

I think they better take her - would anyone really want Alabama - UF or another SEC rival to get her ?

She was on TV 2 weeks ago with the Fury and looked good. I think this was more on the HS coaching staff than the player.

Good, if there are issues, Im sure its just a matter of maturity and being the best everywhere she's been. Coming to the hill should humble her somewhat IF this is the case.

I think its more a matter of the coach being immature than anything.

I can certainly attest to how immature HS softball coaches can be. My cousin was a highly-recruited D-1 prospect before she tore her rotator cuff (offers from UT and Bama among several others). Her coach suspended her for taking an official visit to UT on the weekend of a golf tournament fundraiser. It was only after my mom and my aunt complained to the principal that the suspension was overturned.

Whats a golf fundraiser have to do with softball ? Did she ever recover from the tear ? Just an interesting story and curious about the outcome of it.

Welcome, I bet you've got a lot of stories about coaches and travel ball parents. As a parent of a 10u it's crazy what I've seen so far.
