Sometimes, misery brings out the ugly truth which is we have one very solid pitcher and no offense.

I can agree with this. I just don’t think screaming “Over” in the 2nd inning is productive. Coaching, game decisions, etc, all fair play after a game and after a season. The doom and gloom during a game is just unnecessary and unproductive.

i think it feels like a few years ago when we dropped into the losing bracket and came back to advance!

We had four AAs on that team, including one first team AA pitcher and her sister, not one tired ace and nobody else on the pitching staff. Also, I don't see a Raven Chavanne or a Lauren Gibson walking through the door or an Ashley Andrews or Shelby Burchell providing senior leadership -- which is severely lacking on this team.

Certainly agree on the pitching depth, lost that to FSU.
Hitting not timely, inconsistent, but the loser here are JMU getting extra at bats. 2 errors kill teams that live on the edge

Gotta love a nice whataboutism, no matter how stupid it is. I'm actually fine with Tony V. He's turned a program around in a very short amount of time and his team is basically the only bright spot on campus right now.

I didn't watch. ESPN3 said the game was blacked out for me and I was checking the board from time to time for updates.

They took two risks: pitching Ashley a complete game last night, knowing she'd have to be at her best against JMU, and deciding this was the game to test West at 2B to keep West's and Webber's bats in the lineup.

Problems that have plagued this team all year bit us today. The LVs have players who can step up. It's a lot harder than it was, but step up or season over.

They did, that is why I said earlier we were playing pressed and not loose. They played like the underdog who wanted to compete vs the team that should win

Regardless of what happens the rest of this season this team is fairly well intact. We need more pitching a second baseman that can both field and hit and another power hitting outfielder. We have a lot of freshmen coming back that will be better. Shipman has to be a leader next season. Hopefully Davis is coming back. Milloy should be leadoff hitter every game. I'd like her to learn how to bunt would be same as a double everytime she got on. Good class coming in to shore up some of the positions. Key is more pitching and everyone coming back getting better. We win second game today Rogers win first game tomorrow get it to a roll the dice game.

Karen will be back don't know what Ralph is going to do he can come back if the wants to. We need to get it right as far as getting these players better in the off season and finding some reliable pitching to go with Rogers. No use in any talk about who is coaching next season they are not going to be fired.
