Why would she leave a job to go to a team that hasn't been nationally relevant in a decade?

They pay better and they support their team better (NIL)..

This morning on the Zone they were throwing out the USC corch. Saying the move to the big 10 could kill any desire to coach on the west coast due to travel.

Well I read it again and it doesn't really make sense. Are you saying she would be an attractive candidate or not? Your opening thesis is that she would be and then go on to say she wouldn't leave. Why bring her up?

My point is that until we decide to catch up (NIL, Paying for a quality coach) with other programs, we won't be in the running for a coach like that..

In the past decade, USCe and LSU have invested in their programs, their players get NIL. They've won nattys. We went cheap with our last two hires.....

To be fair, the last hire is who the Lady Vols fans wanted, so Fulmer gave it to them. Time to go outside the family.

I do agree they need to invest more if they're serious, but football is what kept them floating in years past. I think DW is serious about it.

Yep, and as soon as the P2 get away from the NCAA in football, all of these "nice" things are going to come crashing down. The NCAA will still exist, student athletes will still exist but football money will be gone.

I know, not the place to put it but when we talk about NIL money and such, it just breaks my heart what the NCAA has come to because kids want to get paid pro level contracts. I wish I could have started my first job at my salary now, I would have retired about 20 years ago.

I'd say most of the knowledgeable LV fans didn't want Kellie because they saw how she performed at NCSU...

Fulmer knew she was cheap and that she was a pretty face to help him recover and win the press conference after nearly losing Barnes to UCLA because of his neglect.

Her only qualifications was being inexpensive, a former LV, and pretty...

When I say fans, I mean a few of the more influential sweater vests, not the whole fan base. That's what I heard anyways.

Um, UT promoted Pat’s longtime assistant, then replaced her with another former Lady Vol. Let’s see what White will do.

I get it but it was coming, too much money involved, if it helps get rid of the NCAA, all the better. The NCAA is a joke.

I'd say the casual fans were on-board with Kellie for the reasons I mentioned but not for her actual (dismal) coaching track record...
