Auburn will try and force Westbrook into turning the ball over, Remember Westbrook ball handling skills are very shakey !

Should be a good game today, hard to tell where Auburn is based on who they have played. Saw North Carolina play live, a team that took them to OT, and I wasn't impressed with NC. It was a very early game, but their execution was pretty terrible. Statistically we are a very similar team to Auburn with the exception of rebounding, based on stats alone we are a much better rebounding team even though it hasn't looked that way the last couple games.

For a change we are the deeper team most of the time this year and that has helped us a good deal, in their bigger games Auburn has really only gone 6 deep with a couple others playing sparing minutes, not a lot of depth for them this season though which keeps them out of their pressure defense. If we take care of the ball and out hustle them on the glass we should win by 10. Going to have to play some defense though, this Auburn team can score, a trait they have not had the last several seasons. We will not be able to just outscore them tonight. We do have a significant height advantage at 4 out of 5 starting positions, Rennia and Evina will both likely have a big height advantage which should make finishing at the rim a bit easier.

We have more length than any team they have played so far so hopefully it bothers them on their shot and passing.

If C. Green draws the match-up on Unique Thompson she better come ready to play. It would be nice to have the guards penetrate and try to get her in foul trouble early, otherwise I fear Thompson may drop 35 on us, our post defense has been non-existent this season and Thompson is a monster on the O-boards with 54 already this season. Thinking Mimi Collins will get quite a bit of time tonight based on her recent play and her defense.

The refs will have a large part in the outcome tonight. If they allow Auburn to use their usual slap and hack defense it could be a long night. If the make them play basketball instead of rugby, we should be fine.

I don't think we will see that kind of defense from Auburn tonight, they just don't have the depth this season. E. Jones was arguably their best on ball defender and she is now out for the season with a knee injury. They were only really going about 6 deep in their bigger games this season before she went out. With her out they are even worse off, really only 5 or 6 reliable players for them tonight. Last season they had 7 or 8 that played pretty big minutes allowing them to keep their defensive pressure up.

Maybe we will press to wear them down?

In theory we should be able to out pace them with their short bench and our athleticism. Can't run the press if we give them wide open 3s or open lay-ups though. They have been shooting the 3 pretty hot this season on and off. I would much rather see a 3/4 court trap so we can still get back and match-up some.

So far not too bad. First sequence had me worried but I think we look decent on both ends right now. Z. Green still ball watching on defense, just needs to settle down. Our offense against their zone so far looks good. Knocked in some jumpers and making them pay on the backside for the trapping D.

We don't seem to be in position to rebound, Auburn playing much harder imo

Hate to complain about officiating, but so far I’m not impressed. Hate it when all you hear is whistles.

To be honest though that’s one of the better first quarters we’ve had as a team this season. Some of the other first quarters have been UGLY.

We play hard for 5 then rest for 5. We don't good when teams make us think about what to do on offense.

Glad to see that rattle home for Evina, maybe it’ll give her some confidence in her shot again.

Auburn’s guards go over the back to rebound everytime.

Rae is go go to this game will test her patience and see how much she learned.
