A game is a game this season. It’s a reality. It’s crazy, but that’s where we are. Idk how they are planning to decide who makes the tournament if it happens. RPI and SOS are gonna be very inaccurate and teams will have played all sorts of varying number of games. Anywhere from 15-30 possibly. Weird. A**. Year. Just hope we have an opponent so we can build on Thursday.

We need a couple of games where everyone can play. Going to have to make a decision on another player or two in the rotation no way she wants to play Davis, Horston, and Burrell 110 minutes per game going forward think they would be burnt out my mid season. If McCoy is healthy I look for her to get a long look at some of the minutes replacement for Green and that could be it or we may see Salary, Renee or Darby get a few minutes based on practice and their knowledge of the system and their role. I'm sure we will now see Key or KK only at the five with Emily as the person that gets a few minutes when either or both get in foul trouble. Marta is your starting four McCoy could get backup minutes or we may do a lot of four guard if staff can't come to trust her to fulfill a role that is efficient. Of Darby, Renee, and Salary I think Darby is the best shooter of the three but Salary the best overall athlete. I don't know how much any or them will play when were up against a top opponent going forward. Walker is proving to be solid her 16 minutes against Indiana proved she can play at this level against any team regardless of talent. Hopefully no more injuries this season. When one player you are counting on for a solid 25 minutes a game goes down it certainly hurts your team and you hope others can step up and fill those minutes with reliable effective play.

You would hope we could get a better team than UNCG but not easy to get teams here and we need to play. We'll beat them by 50 at least but at least we can work on some things where players aren't just practicing or playing against teammates.

Looks like the OC schedule has become a find out who you can match up a date with from week to week. Will be crazy until conf. games start.

and depends on how you use it

I agree with playing as many players as possible for this game, but I do not agree with messing with the lineup that got you that past win...they need to continue to start for the sake of continuity for the up coming SEC run....Right now, they have the right mindset.

experimenting at this juncture will be detrimental to their psyche

has someone confirmed anything yet, nothing on the LV site and my sources weren't positive...SO, it may be another foe.

But, no matter who it is,,,we need to play the way we just played to open the game and if a comfortable lead ensues, then give the bench as much time as they can get,,,but most importantly, near the end of the game, display one more show of strength so the girls keep THAT memory for when they return

Hopefully McCoy can come back in time for Texas A&M. She has good form on her shot.
Also Coach should ask the team who is going to take charges and hit the boards like K. Green. Pat would have put that challenge out to the players.

The staff did a great job getting a game on short notice. I don’t understand why so many complain about the opponent during a not so conventional year. With Covid you take any opponent you can get in order to get live action for your team. The men’s team has been a perfect example of that. It’s evident that Kellie is willing to play tougher opponents considering she took the team to Indiana on short notice but let’s face it the only way we are getting those matchups this year is on the road. Very few top 25 teams are going to be willing to come to Knoxville on short notice especially when they have more to lose by a loss to the Lady Vols. This will be a great game to get the bench extended minutes if they come out and play to their potential from the tip.

Hmmm...

Any player would rather play than practice they don’t care the opponent. Being an athlete and now coaching them it’s a story as old as time.

I don’t know about be better off practicing... seems like last practice we lost a player to an ACL tear while the other went out on concussion protocol.

I get the jab at the team and the schedule but with Covid seems like we will just have to buckle up for the ride. Stanford was supposed to be this weekend before christmas, Norte Dame couldn’t travel, then texas had to cancel. It all sucks but we are at least watching our team play.
