As long as Urlacher is in the middle of the field for the Bears, the other 2 LBs will not get paid as much. They will be considered bit players not worthy of making 6-7 million a year.

And with the success that Colvin and Holdman have had while not being around Urlacher, you have to admit that Brigg's numbers are inflated by lining up beside #54

so you agree with briggs that he deserves to get paid more than the best player on your team. like i said without #54 he is not a top 5 linebacker.

Don't jump to conclusions, smart guy. I never said I agreed with anything. I'm just stating what's been said. Also, I'm sure Briggs would counter that without him, Urlacher isn't a star, either.

i wasn't getting smart, just asking a question. urlacher would be good no matter who lines up at his sides. he has already proven that. briggs hasn't. briggs should get around 5 to 5.5 million a year. i can't wait for him to hit the market. cato june had to struggle to get 4 million a year.

Briggs should ask the aforementioned Colvin and Holdman

Briggs should have no problem getting more money than a linebacker on one of the worst rushing defenses in the last ten years.

It's really not that ludicrous. Urlacher was named to Sporting News' All Overrated Team not that long ago. I think he's a good linebacker, but a lot of people think he benefits heavily from the defensive talent around him.

i have to disagree. in my opinion he is the best middle linebacker in the NFL. the man is a beast that can just flat out play. briggs on the other hand i believe to be overated. like colvin before him. they benefit from playing with the best linebacker in the game.

Well this year we'll see. The DT position will be weak, at least until Tank Johnson comes back (he's more than likely suspended)

Do they not still have Tommie Harris? That guy is pretty stout.

he had a torn hamstring rapaired. they don't know how good he is going to be. they also lost both there backups in free agency. they will draft somebody i just don't know who.

Harris and Dvoracek are the projected starters until Tank comes back and neither of those guys are known for being healthy.

Harrell or Tank Tyler from N.C. State would make sense for them

yep dvoracek has all kinds of upside, but a broken foot kept him off the field last year.
