Cause everyone knows you only need 1 RB in the SEC...

There is something good about everything if you look hard enough. It's time for all those behind him to step up and earn playing time. Hope Lane rehabs well and quickly, we need him.

Personally I thought he should ha e started last year. I thought he ran harder and more North and South than Neal. Not say Neal wasn't solid but I just like Lane a lil more.

Not all about running the rock. Pass protection is huge as well as formation recognition. He was a good runner so I suspect he had other weaknesses we are unaware of.

Not unless he learns to keep his pad level low

This isnt HS ball anymore. He runs upright in the SEC, he'll get knocked on his ass. CRG has been working at him to keep his pad level low

Not H.S. anymore? Crap! He will get abused if he runs high, got it.

Great Stuff! Keep it coming.

Just having some fun with you

Herschel Walker carried the ball 30 times per game in his career.

Just saying.

You're right. Just seems the trend is to have a couple or 3 backs share the load, maybe a specialty type 3rd down back, in addition to the main guys. It also seems to have become a thing in recruiting to sell.... "You'll be the man, you'll get your carries, but we're not gonna wear you out so you'll have plenty of tread on the tires so you can make your money playing on Sundays",

I'm with you though. Watching running backs who could carry it 25-30 times for 150-200 yards was my favorite thing about football back in the day.

Hope he heals quickly! This could be a potent 1-2 punch!

It will allow Hurd to mature at a healthy pace if Marlin is back and healthy. GBO.

I just hope and pray we go into the season healthy. With seeing how young our team is the last thing we need is to walk into SEC play limping.

You got that right.

Of course that means he has to lower his head and get the crap banged out of it.

 Choices, choices.

I Hope the injury does not effect his ability to hold on to the football. Fumbles will cost us games.

I think the pickup of Pickett will be a crucial one for RB depth....We will need him this year....

Butch said he expects Marlin to be healthy enough to return for Spring practice which means within the next 3 weeks. He'll then have approximately 15 weeks to heal up what appears to be a relatively minor injury before Fall camp opens. Based on those 2 facts, I'm confident he'll be 100% in time to split carries with Jalen this fall. 😁
