Lane vs Neal

Dude it's not that much a difference in the yard per carry. Neal does a really good job at finishing runs off and is more durable that Lane. You give Lane 20+ carries if you want to he would be out of the next game. They both are hard runner and finish off their runs Neal is just more durable.

Doesn't matter because Neal is a senior. Lane will get a lot more carries next year, and he deserves them. He has run well when he has gotten his chances.

I also believe there will be a big durability issue with Lane and Hurd which is why this staff may be looking for a 3rd back. If Hurd get more solid weight on him he would be a great backup

The running game was pretty good last night considering there was no passing game to keep the d honest. With that said it killed me that lane would have a 10+ yrd run and they would put neal back in for a 2 or 3 yrd run. Lane > Neal imo.

Lane is the better runner and it's not even close. Lane is superior to Neal at making the first guy miss and getting the extra yards. Lane took us from the 2 yard line to over mid field. Pull him out for Neal and the drive stalls.

The back-up seems to always be the most desirable player on this board.

It was because Lane just ran about 4 for 35 yards and needed a breather.

I don't think Neal should have had fewer carries, but Lane should have had more carries and targets last night. The running game could've carried us to a win.

Have no idea and have to assume there is some behind the scenes stuff. Maybe Lane pulls Allen Iverson in practice. No explanation. Neal did have some good runs yesterday but oftentimes just runs right into tacklers and misses many opportunities for more yards.

It wasn't to midfield, and the drive stalled because Dobbs caught a snap with his face mask. Nice effort on your argument though.

The drive stalled when Neal came into the game period. There is no good that Lane can do that would get him in over Neal.

It's funny because you actually believe it. Are you talking about the drive at the end of the 1st quarter where Lane had 2 carries for 3 yards in the first 3-4 plays, and then Neal came in and had 2 for 17 and a score?

Lane should get more carries, but your argument isn't even remotely true.

Neal scored in the second quarter. And Lane had two rushes for three yards, but caught a pass for 9. His rush for three yards immediately followed the catch and amounted to a first down.

Forgot the catch, my bad. Neal still didn't stall that drive. I'll just repeat what i've said all along, Lane should've had more carries last night, and more targets.
