Lane vs Neal

I've been thinking all year Lane runs better. He makes the first guy miss nearly every time and turns bad plays into positive plays all of the time. Neal is probably a stronger runner, but Lane seems to consistently make positive plays whereas Neal get tackled at the line or behind LOS a lot.

There has been a lot of drives this year where Neal was running well only to be taken out. Happened again last night after Lane had 3 or 4 really good runs in a row. Why don't they let him finish a drive?

I've told my son since the beginning of the year Lane was a better back than Neal, and that it would only be a matter of time before he was the starter. IMO Lane performed better than Neal when given the opportunity and still got less carries. There must be more to this than ability or effort. Lane runs hard and has better vision.

Who else thinks Lane did more with his playing time than Neal????

Lane by a mile

Neal dances around more than michael jackson. Terrible vision. Every once in a while he gets lucky and finds a crease. Very inconsistent.

Running game will be better next yr when we have 2 backs that will hit the hole and hopefully an OL that isn't full of prima donnas* that have no aggresiveness whatsoever

Hell maybe we will even let the QB throw for more than 40 yards and not completely give up on him after the 1st qtr

Both are avg SEC backs and from what I've seen there's not a lot of difference between them. Lane appears to have better vision and is harder to bring down, but Neal has more speed.

The drive was second half when we got a turn over at the 2yd line and Lane and Dobbs running got us to the 50 yard line. We had an Auburn offense going and they took out one of the key pieces and put Neal in to run side to side

Speed doesn't matter if you can't get out of the backfield

That drive stalled because of the snap that hit Dobbs in the face, not because they put Neal in. That's the last time I'll say it, because you obviously have an axe to grind here.
