As good as it is to have the Titans in Tennessee, they will always be second to the Vols.
Not if you're our local radio stations, they talk Titans 98% of the time and give about 10 minutes a week to Vol coverage. Whats a good station in Knoxville where I can hear about the team I care about?

And the Vols would have played to an even larger crowd at home, which would have = more money in the teams wallet. It would have also benefitted the local businesses in Knoxville.

Our local politicos are using the Vols and fans to fund the new stadium. Won't be suprised to see more games being played in Nashville. On down the road, when the Titans leave the state, Nashville will take the Vols away from East TN and try to spin it like that is for the best.

Never discount the politics of power and money underlying every significant decision in the USA. A lot of questions in Nashvegas regarding tax dollars and other funny money going to a new stadium. Makes a lot of sense to me to fill the existing facility with Vol fans/high priced tickets to fund the new stadium. The stadium was practically empty for pre-season games. An indoor stadium would facilitate a better bowl experience and avoid storm cancelled or delayed concerts. I thought Bridgestone was supposed to cover the indoor concert requirement. Anyway…no huh?…Nashville actively looking for money except from Republicans.

Sorry forgot my tin foil hat.
I am huh’ing the idea that Nashville would take the Vols from East TN. The university is in Knoxville. At most Nashville would be able to get 3 Vol games per year.

Quit using logic and try to think like a politician would.

somewhere behind polk county HS, way back at #5743 for me. but thats just me...
I am an alum of Polk County High School, and live in ear shot of Larry Davis Field. Being a small enrollment school, they play teams with a lot higher enrollment, and usually don't have the depth other teams do. There is one kid on the team that I would like to see get an opportunity to play college ball somewhere, maybe the Big Orange. Damien McWilliams is a very good player, plays WR on offense and corner on defense.

This was originally a bought out away game at BYU. Virginia agreed to play it at a “neutral” site because we didn’t want a home and home. It was never an option to play it in Knoxville…quit ********.
