You posting this with a factually inaccurate quote is very telling.

Anyways, I am just saying that I honestly don't get all the Debord hate. He made mistakes early on, but it is clear he has learned from them. Our offense just lit up one of the nation's best defenses, and you still complain. That is very telling.

If Texas came open I hope they would go after Fedora and he would leave. UNC fans would absolutely lose their **** if another coach left for Texas like Mack Brown.

If you didn't already know, I have zero respect for their football program.

Maybe I missed a thread on this guy, but damn. Here is another coach UT could have hired back in the day.

11-1 and playing in ACC championship game. And wasn't he just on the hotseat? In fact, Butch has raided all kinds of recruits from UNC. Tuttle and North just to mention 2. And yet 8-4 gets a raise and extension. Don't get it. Maybe recruiting isn't all that. Has Fedora had two tip 5 classes?
No, and neither have the teams on his schedule.

Please tell me that is hyperbole.

Oh, that is what you were talking about. I figured you were talking about the "we should have put up 53 points" thing. I didn't think you were talking about this because it is indeed a fact. You do know they were only allowing 18.1 ppg going into the UT game right??? Have you had your head in the sand?

Listen, I hate Vandy as much as anyone, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Vandy's defense is legit. Mason's defense was legit at Stanford and sadly, he has brought that with him.

Vanderbilt stacks up to Mason's Stanford defenses

Strong Vanderbilt defense has slowed top-15 offenses

Vanderbilt defense brings out worst in foes

Just realized that you quoted my other comment. So you may have been referencing the 53 point thing in the beginning.

If so, then my hyperbole comment still stands, lol.

It's funny, but you made my point by asking if my Vandy comment was hyperbole too. You obviously thought that we should have put up those kind of points on them, huh? I, among other reasonable people, figured it would be much like the Missouri game. But I guess you thought we should have put up 50+ on them too...

They also have 2 FCS teams scheduled in either 2016 or 2017. You just can't do that if you're serious about competing for a playoff spot. That said, it's a moot point as the football team won't be eligible for post season play for a long, long time.

It hasn't hurt the Tarheels this seasom they're 11-1 and will be in the Playoffs if they beat Clemson in the ACCCG.

Vandy sucks. Their schedule sucks. They played 4 ranked teams. GA scored 31, Ole Miss scored 27, Houston scored 34 and FL's offense is terribad. They held crap offenses (Mizzou, FL, SC, Peay, MTSU, KY) to low scores. Good for them. They are certainly NOT one of the best defenses in CFB, I don't care what an article says about them.

The factually inaccurate quote I was referring to was you quoting GoBigOrangeUT's post of "best O in 20 years". Derek Freaking Dooley had a better offense than we had this year.

Stats aside, we had an extremely 1-dimensional offense. Thankfully we have a beast/haus TB, an under-utilized play-making TB, and a QB who can run.

You seem to enjoy stirring the pot. Either that or you have trouble comparing coaches and going beyond the numbers. Not the first statement you have made about our record this year compared to another school.

Fedora has done nothing. His OC and DC have turned the team around. If both leave or one leaves this year fedora will under achieve like in years past

So nothing for Fedora having a team that's completely his guys? That's the argument for Butch. Fedora is an offensive guy so a lot of the offense is likely his. He's already lost 1 OC two years ago and his team is now better.

His record got worse every year before this bizarre breakout season. One great year does not make a great coach (ask Gene Chizik), so I'd need to see a good follow-up next season to agree with this. Plus, schedule was cupcakes on cupcakes. Toughest win was...what, at 6-6 Virginia Tech?

His seat was warming up before this year

Listen Fedora is a damn good coach. He was a phenomenal OC. Tennessee would have hired him had the timing been right.
