If you've never bn to 1, i don't care to hear your opinion. We've helped kids get to JUCO and that was their opinion. I'm pretty sure you've never bn tonrral Kansas or Mississippi. In Cali they have no dorms and are forced to paybfor an expensive apartment in which eats up their food money. The struggke is real. Placed a kid in a Mississippi JUCO for Ky a few years back. The kid called home crying saying please get him out of there. He described it like many athletes decribe the athletic village in Rio. Filth, dirty water, no resources in the city he was in, had to travel miles to McDs, Walmart, etc. I could go on and on about JUCOs.

Some JUCOs in Cali have dorms. The one I went to is actually better than a lot of universities.

Totally agree with this. The coaches act about as bad as some of the players. Disappointing see them quoting the Bible and reading it to the players then turning around taking the Lord's Name In Vein constantly. It really comes off hypocritical.

It blows my mind the way he rants and raves with f'n m'fers and his next words are "touch somebody" and "Our father which art.........". Don't misunderstand. I don't care that he curses and goes on but for the next sentence to be the Lord's Prayer just shows how big of a hypocrite he is. The guy comes off as a real tool.

I've only watched the first episode, but from that I was more impressed with the assistants than the head coach. His half time speech blew. It was just "you're playing like f***! Get your s*** together or you'll f***ing lose!"

And then the offensive coordinator made some adjustments, calmed the guys down, and they went out and got it together.

I need to be clear i meant his coaching style. I like the loud in your face style. I did not mean as a role model.

Smdh guys what yawl see on tv is very rarely whom a caoch is. Most quote scriptures and cuss likea sailor. Ppl the very head coach you all love quite often uses these same words but he's not on a tv show. Its amazing how naive some of you are. Coaches all talk like this guy just not when the fans are present.

Tony Dungy for one disagrees.

My takeaway:

Hated the head coach

Franklin is really cocky, not too bright, and not that good. I feel bad for AU.

Loved Ollie, seemed like a genuinely good hearted kid who had a very tough road. I want nothing more than for him to be successful.

The foul language doesn't bother me. The lack of meaningful substance to go along with it is another thing, though.

I said i like his style of coaching never did i complain about his cussing. I like his coaching style real in your face put up or shut up type. Lets be real college football coaches in general are not great role models nor do i give a sh$$ if they are.

Camion Patrick's younger brother is on the show. (Isaiah wright). He attended west high school when living in Knoxville. Holds offers from auburn and Florida state. Actually played ball with him. He's a baller.

I'm excited to see it. But WTF does "playing like f***" even mean anyway? If you're going to try and get creative with your cursing, at least have it make sense.

I agree completely on the substance. I know the TV crew doesn't care about it but you never see him actually coach up any of the players, or speak about X's and O's.

That was what stood out to me. I'm only an episode in so far, but it really seems like what their coach does best is bring in recruits who can ball. He doesn't really seem to be much of a football mind, so to speak.

I did like seeing Clint Trickett as the QB coach there though. I liked him while he was at WVU (loved some of his pre-bama trash talk about being Saban's daughter's first kiss). Hopefully he'll be able to work his way into D1 at some point.

The cussing doesn't bother me that much (though I think it is completely unnecessary) but the continual berating of his players is just $h!tty. I don't get the impression that he cares all that much for his players. They are just big dumb animals for him to shove around and yell at. He's like a bloated loudmouth version of Nick Saban, except he doesn't seem to know much about football beyond recruiting.

Best gripe out session I've ever heard by a coach. I won't use names.

He said. We have ****** at right defensive end 6'6" 250lbs. At left defensive end we have ****** 6'6" 250lbs.

You know what that gives us? 13 feet and 500lbs of p**sy. I broke out laughing and I thought coach would never let us quit running.
