He'll continue until Alabama begins to not qualify for the CFP multiple years running.

If he doesn’t win the SEC next year and doesn’t make the playoff again along with say losing to Tennessee I think he would retire. Ironic too it would be cause he will be 69 next season that’s the same age Bear was when he retired and of course died 6 weeks later.

Alabama has lost the last 3 games against ranked opponents they've played.

They havent won their own division in 2 of 3 past years.

Just not sure Bama is what it used to be.

And I think the reason why is on our sideline now.

You mention losing 2 of 3 division races, but suggest that it's because Bama lost Pruitt? He was involved with the first.

There are two legitimate questions I have after tonight.

1. What % of the Bama fanbase will call for Saban’s head.

2. How many brothers/sisters/friends/Auburn fans will get shot/killed tonight.

1. Less then 5%
2. I will guess 2

I didnt suggest that Bama has lost the divisions because of Pruitt. But has the overall tenor of the program trended downward since Pruitt left? Absolutely. And it's not due to a drop off in recruiting. The defensive dominance hasn't been there, and neither has the power run game of years past. Bama is just losing their grip.

It would be amazing for them to lose their bowl game. They start losing 3 or 4 games a year they’ll start to shed that invincibility claim they had for the last decade. They already been passed by Clemson handly over the last 5 years. Clemson is undefeated and in the playoff again. They’re without a doubt the better program at this point. Now if LSU could continue to build on what they done this year that dynasty will start to crumble. And Nicky will definitely retire once he doesn’t have head and shoulders the best team on the field every time out.

If your position is that Pruitt is better than Golding or Tosh, you'll get no argument from me. If your argument is that this defense would be anywhere close to championship level with Pruitt at the helm, there's just no way. This defense was thoroughly decimated by injury. There's no magic solution to the issues Bama had.

Maybe. After seeing what Pruitt did with the talent at UT this year it’s hard to see Bama would have given up 45 to this Auburn offense. I get there was some defensive points given up to AU, but still.

I think Bama has one loss at the most with Pruitt still there. JMO.

Bama gave up 31 on defense. Still too much, but when you are missing half of the 2 deep in your front 7, and 2 more DLs are playing with nagging injuries, it's pretty tough.
