Last Iron Bowl for Little Nickey??

Bama gave up 31 on defense. Still too much, but when you are missing half of the 2 deep in your front 7, and 2 more DLs are playing with nagging injuries, it's pretty tough.

We know, that was us Butch’s last two years.

On both sides of the ball.

Bama has missed Kirby and Pruitt but Nick was lucky cause he snagged Pruitt right after Kirby left which helped him get and I think will be his last national title at Bama in 2017

Alabama has lost the last 3 games against ranked opponents they've played.

They havent won their own division in 2 of 3 past years.

Just not sure Bama is what it used to be.

And I think the reason why is on our sideline now.

Coming into today's game their rushing defense was #7 in the SEC. Their eyes have been taken off the prize and their defense is not as stout as it once was, 40+ points given to Auburn?!?!? LOL, they bought into the offense wins and no doubt they do have a powerful offense. That said defense wins championships.

He's making about 10 million a year to coach football...He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Bamas D has been underperforming for the past 2 years. Whos the missing link? Hmm 🤔

Of course. Bama never had a great defense without Pruitt.

They had great ones with Kirby Smart who has UGA at an elite defensive level. Then after him Pruitt preformed well too who has UTs defense playing pretty well. Just saying maybe the current DC ain't on their level. Just a suggestion? Seems to be a notable drop off, thats all.

He's definitely not at that level. Still, I think it's unfair to blame Golding for everything when his defense has been an absolute MASH unit.

Fair enough. Next year will be a big year for him to see if he can get the defense there back to an elite level.

I don't think so. He'll probably fire the defensive coordinator and they'll be back in the mix again. He's probably in the 4th quarter though of his tenure at Bama. Be glad when he is finally gone.

Saban isn’t going anywhere and they will reload next year.

However the tears and complaining this year from the Bammers is still fun. I don’t think this is the end for Saban but it’s the beginning of the end.

every team has injury issues - very few teams have the depth that Bama has to deal with said injuries.

Even the depth got banges up this year, a lot of it before the season kicked off. And unfortunately for Bama, it came in spots where Bama had talent but zero experience. We simply had way too many true freshmen taking way too many snaps.

Coaching attrition has hurt player development. If he would’ve had anything close to a pruitt/smart defense he would’ve won a nc this year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him make a run at Ansley.
