Dream job timing was not right for Lane. He must suffer the consequences now. I feel if he were the HC today at UT, we would be ranked similar to USCe- Top 15 team easy. No bones about it, he entered USCw at the wrong time with all of the reduction of scholarships. Anyway, GBO.

Wow. A lot of you sound like the sad guy sitting in the corner talking about how your ex girlfriend 4 years ago wronged you.

We get it. Your feelings are still hurt. Move on. :shakehead:

If Kiffin were at U.T. today, we would be on probation, just like USC.

If Kiffin were at U.T. today, most of the players on this roster would not be here. I know Stone, Tiny would not be here. Also, Hunter would not have come to U.T. had Kiffin been there.

Kiffin even acknowledged that 2010 and after would be difficult for U.T. because of our roster.

It is a true blessing that he left U.T. when he did. I would rather have losing seasons in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014, while we re build, than to end up on probation under Kiffin.

Psst....

USC is not on probation because of Kiffin. USC is on probation due to the sanctions handed down to them due to "lack of institutional control" during Pete Carroll's tenure when Reggie Bush and his family accepted financial benefits and housing from agents. They were given a 2 year post-season ban and a reduction of 30 scholarships in 3 years.

That's why Pete Carroll left. Remember?

But go ahead and continue to show your lack of knowledge. Nice try.

Agreed. The crazy thing is how so many of us acted totally butt hurt when he left because we were convinced that he would resurrect our program. Now everyone wants to be the first to say what a loser he is. Talk about a schizophrenic fan base!!

Losing seasons for 5 years is rebuilding? And what exactly is it about probation you would rather lose than have it? Not making a bowl? - Two years and probably 3 now - check. Loss of scholarship players? we have walk ons playing major roles - check. National perception? Nobody fears tennessee anymore, we literally put up less than a fight than homecoming teams do against our sec "rivals".Check that one off your list too.

What's bad is he will have another job soon because he can talk his way into anything

Only as a position coach and then that may be limited. He is a Coach that doesn't have many friends. When you have that kinda wrap on you then it's not going to go well for you. The Media has exposed him.

Even with Kiffin gone after 4 years, we're still on probation. The gift that keeps on giving.
