Late Rally Not Enough In 80-77 Loss To LSU

The Lady Vols need a strong leader who demands excellence from her/his players. This is what made/make Pat and Geno elite coaches. Does that fit our program now?

i truly believe that a lot of the Lady Vols problem ,is a lack of one or two key players, that will carry the team forward no matter what, that will perform no matter what, that has been lacking for a good while, since Candace, one of the players need to step up and demand excellence on and off the court from every player on the team

I don't think Holly is strong enough to bring this program back to it former level in a tougher competitive environment. Some coaches ask for excellence, hope for it--and others demand it. Why is Geno a great coach? It's not just that he gets great players. He is an extremely demanding coaching with all of PS's toughness--and a much better offense. If Holly were strong, frankly, she would have left UT years ago and become a head coach herself. Instead, she stayed to help PS. I like and respect Warlick but don't think she has the stuff to bring us back. That was evident in last year's NCAA Louisville game. It wasn't that we got beat, it was the way we lost--just choking and playing nervous from the start. A team with no toughness--and I'm not seeing much toughness this year either. Some but not nearly enough. And listen to Holly after losses--she always seems disappointed and confused: "gee, we practice defense but they were not motivated." Yikes.

Also, Massengale improved because she spent the summer playing for USA basketball.

Have to agree you must be demanding. PHS was for years and she kinda mellowed out probably because of the illness in the latter years. Holly is just a wimp makes no demands usually just a lot of excuses. She talks a good game about were gonna get better but we stay the same. Izzy and Ariel are better players they worked on their own and got better. Burdick has been a huge disappointment this season Simmons is hot and cold will always be that way. She has no game to the basket just a jump shooter. Graves hasn't played near as well this season for some reason.
Holly needs to be able to make adjustments during games and evidently she can't since Ballard was making layups and out rebounding our players for 30 minutes of a forty minutes game. Evidently she got tired in the last ten from pounding us on the boards and making layups anytime she desired. I really don't think Holly is the answer kinda reminds me of Buzz but she will get her years in Hart cares little about women's basketball. A twenty win season satisfies him completely.

Holly is the university of Tennessee's version of Mike Munchak. Long time loyal assistant. Takes over, and starts an immediate decline for the program. I grew up watching this glorious program, and I for one am saddened by this decline I am seeing. I hope this can get turned around before it's too late, and before that clown at uconn wipes away our dominance.

Our eight titles will only be a memory in a few years. UConn will have about 12 and we'll be in the middle of the pack nationally.

I thought we had players this season that would do that. I really expected Graves to dominate. I expected Burdick to be a take charge player. Both have played fair actually Burdick poor neither seems to have the ability to take over games.

kinda of way to early for such doom and gloom Volfan, hopefully it is just some growing pains for CHW,it is different from riding the bus to driving it,somebody needs to get in her ear and tell her to stop being so damn nice

and for those that have complained about CPS falling behind in the game, you have to remember that she was the one that brought the game to where it is at today, did others catch up to her ? yes they have, did they surpass her ? no damn way,Coach Summit is the legend of womens basketball and all ways will be,if it wasn't for her, ladys basketball wouldn't have achieved the status it has today
