Late Summer 2017 Class Predictions

Things have shaken up a bit since the last prediction thread. Let's see who you having signing with the good guys the first week of February as of today.

:)

EDIT: Let's say 25 spots. We have no way of knowing how many spots we actually have, so let's just plan on s full class.

Akers, Chandler, Harris, Smith, Eze, McKenzie, Webb, Gibbs. That's all I can think of at the moment.

I get the feeling the class stays much more intact than most expect. Names coming off the board too fast IMO.

Add Chandler at RB. Add Smith and McKenzie at OL.

That's got us to 26. Unless grades force someone out, I'll guess it's Tucker or Bennett out.

If Butch goes blue shirt route, maybe the K gets counted forward and Bennett/Tucker stick.

Akers to OSU.
Harris to OSU.
Gibbs to UGA.
Webb or Butler? I don't see them takes over Lawson LiL Gaddy(if he's a DE) or Bembry.
Wade Penn St.
Eze goes small school.

Might see some action if another quality slot guy shows interest. Also at the LB position. Today, I don't see those guys yet.

After we're in the playoffs we'll get interest from guys we aren't even talking about. All we have to do is win.

No faith that we get Harris, Eze, or Wade? I think we are in it more for those guys that we realize. Also think that maybe Hansard is in there too somewhere.

Maybe. We're supposed to be in the SEC title game. We're a top 10 team. Most felt the top guys would be waiting to see how we did. Its not really playing out that way. More names probably pop up, but I wouldn't count on some huge influx of top talent. We'll get 3-4.

There are names, no doubt. They have to fit somewhere though.

I like Hansard. Just not sure he pushes any of the DTs out.

I don't see them taking 4 WRs. If Harris is in, who is out? Jones? I'm not sure that makes sense. Swapping a 6'5 guy for a slot guy seems odd unless you're just going best available. With Jones and Murphy in, I think they want 2 slot guys. Harris for Fant? Hope not.

EZe seems to be being steered elsewhere. As for Wade, I have thought he stays in the big10 for a while.

Bold prediction: Leb will be terribly, horribly wrong about one or another of his predictions and will turn that into an indictment on the coaching staff.

What will happen is we will have a huge year win the SEC East and there wont be a big enough influx of "stars" into the signing class and you will have people on here whining when we have just won the east lol.

Winning the East will be great. IMO it's expected. Continuing to win at that level though won't happen with 14th-15th ranked classes. You can't replace guys like Hurd, Kamara, McKenzie, and Tuttle with 3* talent and expect to keep rolling. Its going to catch up to you quickly.

I'm going conservative on this one:

Add Akers, Smith, Harris and McKenzie...drop Burnam...

Akers bumps to 5*...Smith and Harris bump to high 4*'s...Henderson and Jackson bump to 4*'s (Jackson in the R250)...Rogers bumps to a 3*...

Finish with 1 5*, 10 4*'s, 15 3*'s and 1 2*...somewhere between 2250-2300 points on Rivals...15th overall class...

Some may say adding Akers and Harris is not conservative...I just don't see how we don't add one stud running back in this class...and I also expect a major increase in WR production this year which will inevitably attract a highly rated WR

Wow...that would be awesome...maybe 2018 can be what 2017 was supposed to be...

Edit: Honeysucker and Anderson are 2019 right?
