Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Every indication coming from the White House suggests that the Trump Administration believed that simply closing off travel to and from China in late January, was the only proactive measure which needed to be taken in order to protect Americans.
What was the top democratic leaders saying when he banned flights that day and up to a month later.

I'll wait.

Either way, at least they had the foresight to put one together. Donnie exotic didn't even have the intelligence to open it.

As usual, Trumps blaming someone else is like watching him pee into the wind.

Thanks Obama.

This is pretty stupid. There isnt wholesale personnel changes in federal health agencies when new administrations come in. As we see, Fauci has been around for decades. If anyone failed, and I'm not saying they did, but if they did it was the long time federal employees in these positions that supposedly spend decades studying these issues.

There really shouldn't be any limits on your movement, but in the highly unlikely event that you would need to enter an assisted living facility, you should take the thoughtful precaution of putting on a protective mask. Our Vice President, Mike Pence, and his press secretary, Katie Miller (Studly Stephen's new wife), actually did enter an assisted living facility last week with neither one of the wearing a mask. As fortune would have it, Katie Miller tested positive for the Coronavirus just a few days later. How brilliant are these people?
There's nobody allowed in a hospital or an assisted living facility that isn't a patient.

Pence and Katie Miller were photographed in one last week. Neither one of them was wearing a mask, even though they were surrounded by staff members who were all wearing masks. Katie Miller tested positive for the Coronavirus just a few days later.

Look everyone, Allvol is suddenly an expert on the inner workings of the turnover at the HHS.

It's fascinating watch folks step and fetch around the fact that this administration blamed the last for not being prepared after doing less than nothing to prepare themselves.

I will go out on a limb and predict she will be fine.

Food supply issue will only be a problem for the next 4 weeks. At least that’s according to our purchasing director. And even then it won’t be too awful.
How far out do they usually predict? I would also imagine the accuracy gets more spotty the further out they are predicting.

It would be great news if you are right. But I find the optimism hard to buy.

McConnell has acknowledged that what Politico reported is true... the Trump Administration was given advanced warnings, and those warnings went ignored.
You're trying to compare a virus with a smaller incubation period compared to this one that has a longer one.

The playbook wouldn't work between the two as they're different. A playbook is used as a starting point, not gospel. Universities have active shooter playbooks. One print per 5 campuses although the terrain, building layout, and personal is completely different.

I'll take that as your failure to dispute the point.

Her health is not the concern. She could have spread the virus to someone inside of the facility who would be more at risk for becoming seriously ill. We have no way to know if she contracted the virus while in the assisted living center, or if she already had it, and brought it inside. Either way, it is no inconvenience to put on a mask before entering an assisted living facility. It doesn't take much time or effort and she should have done it. It was thoughtless.

The virus is going to spread. It is what they do. Been doing it since late 2019 here.

I can pull words out of my ass and try to pass them off as fact too, as you've done. Not sure it'd move the needle any more than yours has.

So your supposed facts are that there is wholesale changeover at federal health agencies during administration change?

So, we should just not give a damn if we bring it into assisted living facilities? That is ridiculous. It is not hard to put on a mask before entering a high-risk, enclosed environment. She should have done it.

But we were told not to wear masks by the "experts" a few weeks ago.
