Why does someone’s personal choice bother you so much

You equate my criticism of Trump with decisions to wear or not wear a mask. False equivalency.

People can make their own decision. But I'd like them to have good information to make the decision. Trump is purposefully feeding people misinformation. That causes them to make bad decisions and endangers others due to spread of the virus.

I suppose you could make the argument that it's up to people to decide whether to listen to Trump's errant advice. You might say, you can't fix stupid. And I suppose that is true when it comes to anyone that looks to Trump for advice on anything.

Congrats are posting, for the first time today, something that allowed for individual choices and consequences of said choices.

So you think Trump is lying to the people, but the liberal media is feeding the truth to the people and the people are so dumb that they can't see it? Got it.

So did your boy Dr. F.

How many lives did that cost?

You mean the mask advice? He went off the best info at the time and when advised otherwise changed his position accordingly.

Thats what a leader does.

A leader does not insist the facts are different than they are just because he doesn't like them.

Wrong. He said masks weren’t necessary so that front line workers would have them available to them. Bad plan.

Trump lying? On purpose and knowingly?

Absolutely yes. It is patently obvious every day that he intentionally lies to people.

The media? Probably sometimes, yes. But the nice thing is we have more than one source so at least there are alternatives.

No, he lied so that masks needed by healthcare workers weren't completely consumed by the public.

But yea, your version of a guy with decades in this field had to figure this out.

"I don't regret anything I said then because in the context of the time in which I said it, it was correct. We were told in our task force meetings that we have a serious problem with the lack of PPEs and masks for the health providers who are putting themselves in harm's way every day to take care of sick people," Fauci told O'Donnell.

"When it became clear that we could get the infection could be spread by asymptomatic carriers who don't know they're infected, that made it very clear that we had to strongly recommend masks," he said.

"And also, it soon became clear that we had enough protective equipment and that cloth masks and homemade masks were as good as masks that you would buy from surgical supply stores," Fauci added. "So in the context of when we were not strongly recommending it, it was the correct thing."

Fauci says he doesn't regret telling Americans not to wear masks at the beginning of the pandemic

He got new information, and changed his opinion, that's how logical people make decisions.

It’s a freaking mask...... they have been around for years..... nobody needs a politician to tell them to wear or not wear a mask.....There are plenty of Republicans, Democrats, and independents choosing not to wear a mask.... if it’s only trump supporters then trump is going to win this election in a landslide.

You're going to vote for a guy who would likely fail Trump's super duper cognitive test. He's literally losing brain function daily and you want him to run the country. Talk about being influenced
Biden is not worried about gloves.... he is disappointed nurses can’t blow up his nose anymore lol

This is definitely suspicious. A PCR test multiplies any genetic material in a specimen x thousands-millions of copies, so there's no way of telling a "level" of infection. The probe then detects positive/negative only.

The only legit possibility is that he had an antibody titer drawn, which actually looks for PAST infection/immunity. Was it a blood draw?

I talked to him again to ask him about the test. It was with the long swab jammed up the nose. He said the Dr told him to think of the virus as grains of sand in a drop of water on a cue tip. There could be more or less grains of sand in the sample, meaning the patient has more or less concentration of the virus in the sample. He said my son's was very high? My son asked that the Dr send him a copy of the test and the Dr said he would. I asked my son to email me a copy when he got it. I'll mark out any personal info and put the test on here if he follows thru.

Like he does with a lot of seemingly apolitical everyday choices, Trump has politicized the decision to wear a mask, and his minions have followed suit. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX, 1st District) is now making the absurd claim that he contracted the Coronavirus by wearing a mask, even though Gohmert doesn't actually wear one most of the time in public.

"I can't help but wonder if by keeping a mask on and keeping it in place, if I might have put some ... of the virus on the mask and breathed it in ... But the reports of my demise are very premature. If somebody feels strongly about everybody wearing a mask, then they shouldn't be around people that don't wear masks." - Rep. Louie Gohmert

An unnamed staffer for Rep. Gohmert told the Texas Tribune that Gohmert has berated members of his staff for wearing masks. I think a lot of Trump supporters view wearing a mask as "giving in to the liberal media and Democrats". Gohmert blaming a mask (that he doesn't even wear) for contracting a virus is too stupid for words.

Now Trump is calling for an extension on the federal UI.

You know, maybe I'll pull a WWDTD and pull some UI while still getting paid, except I'll Robin Hood it and give St. Jude's all the money.

What should we tell all these liberals here not wearing a mask , that they are trump supporters now ? It’s not a Trump thing .
