Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I have an equal amount of disdain for both parties. For so many years, I was basically apolitical even though I voted Republican most of the time.

Trump hasn't been perfect?? That's a ridiculous assertion. He's barely been better than a disaster. Trump isn't better than anything. A real disgrace just as those who continue to PROUDLY support him

I’m pretty centrist. Fiscally conservative, socially moderate constitutionalist and a slight tilt left where the constitution spells it out that it’s just not the government’s place. I think the Dem party’s huge lurch to the far left over the past ten years or so, combined with the fact half the country just couldn’t stomach Hillary, resulted in Trump. If you listen to the media, you would swear Trump has no chance. They said that last time. Recent social events and this far left chaos that has engulfed this country may end up being a big push for Trump in the end.

Trump is no fiscal conservative

T cell response is not a 100% indicator that a person has been infected with Covid 19.

“We have now proven that, in some people, pre-existing T cell memory against common cold coronaviruses can cross-recognize SARS-CoV-2, down to the exact molecular structures,” Weiskopf says. “This could help explain why some people show milder symptoms of disease while others get severely sick.”
Immune cells for common cold may recognize SARS-CoV-2
So Covid doesnt even equal the flu.

It equals (one of) the common cold.

Amazing.

One of this country's biggest problems is that people like you continue to rationalize his behavior.....and most of time, your posts aren't accurate in these silly rationalizations
I don’t rationalize his behavior....he just hasn’t done Anything that I care about yet.... I do not feel he is any worse of a person than joe biden

LOL...not paying attention
I pay attention..... you just don’t like trump.... I’m open to a democrat candidate..... Biden is not it....He completely lost me when he raised his hand in favor of insurance for illegal immigrants..... things like that matter to me.... not what one of trumps family members has to say.

Obviously I disagree on Trump being a disaster but I can see how Dems and some Conservatives would feel that way. I believe the Dems taking over would be a disaster now. Either way, I think most people would agree that what’s going on right now shines a spotlight on why we need more options or at least better ones.

That was a campaign promise. I'm talking about outright, blatant lies. I'm sure you can find plenty who have lied, but none of them have lied like The Donald.

sorry

Obama: 'If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan' | PolitiFact

If by “campaign” you mean campaigning to gain support, then I guess. But he was already President. And many consider this an outright, blatant lie because it was part of a platform to completely overhaul a system that is upwards of 1/5 the American economy.

Obama stated, “Under Obamacare, it’s true premiums have went up but they went up slower than at any point in the last 50 years.” That was proven to be a lie

It was not a campaign promise. This was said after he was President as he was explaining legislation:

It was the 2013 lie of the year:

Obama's 'You Can Keep It' Promise Is 'Lie Of The Year'

This was long after he was elected to a second term

Be careful how you call people liars. Some could say the same about your statement that it was a campaign promise when in reality it was much more. As for Trump, I think most of the things he says are due to his not knowing the facts as opposed to out and out lying. I would say the same about you in this example.

There's one fiscal conservative in Washington these days: Rand Paul. Fiscal conservatives have nowhere to go. However compare to today's Democrat Party, Trump is a fiscal conservative. Everything's relative

Dare I say....a continuum?

Under Obamacare, it’s true premiums have went up but they went up SLP were than at any any point in the last 50 years.

That's not true for folks like me who have to buy individual plans. When Obamacare was passed my premiums were $480/mo with a $1K deductible. Last yr they were at $1900/mo with a $7K deductible per person. Thanks to Trump, who knocked out certain regulations required under Obamacare, I was able to buy a plan for my daughter and myself very reasonably because they could underwrite it and not include all the items required by Obamacare. My wife had to stay with an OC plan due to pre existing conditions. Sum total this yr: $1300/mo. Translation: Trump saved my family $600/mo. Thank you Mr Trump. You'll get my vote in November.
