'Get vaccinated or I'll arrest you and inject it in your butt': President Duterte tells Filipinos to leave the country or face consequences if they don't get Covid jabs

The president of the Philippines has threatened to arrest and forcibly inject Filipinos who refuse to get the Covid-19 jab amid reports of vaccine hesitancy.

Rodrigo Duterte, who is known for his public outbursts and brash rhetoric, told Filipinos to leave the country if they will not cooperate with efforts to end the public health emergency.

He said: 'Don't get me wrong. There is a crisis being faced in this country. There is a national emergency.

'If you don't want to get vaccinated, I'll have you arrested and I'll inject the vaccine in your butt.

'If you will not agree to be vaccinated, leave the Philippines. Go to India if you want or somewhere, to America.'

Always questionable when folks are threatening to forcibly stick the behind when there is no logical reason to invoke the behind. You could poke them anywhere, but he chose the butt.

Seems like we have new version of fear porn spreading. This time centered around vaccinations.

The new, ultra deadly, even more dangerous “delta” variant is the new fear control mechanism now. First it was killing grandma now it’s killing Jr. All the branch COVIdians are saying this thing is even worse than the plague now.

We got a lot of people posting fear porn headlines about the vaccine. My favorite is the one about "nearly 4,000 vaccinated test positive." Idiots everywhere

What do statistics from Hamilton County Tennessee have to do with a story from Manatee County Florida?

It’s the same virus, no? Plus the statistics from Hamilton county are derived from a larger sample set making it inherently more accurate.

What happened in the office building is a one off unless you can a good number more stories like it.

This single story, anecdotal, and attention grabbing headlines is idiocy with wings designed to convince the lowest common denominator person of something that just isn’t statistically true. It’s like pointing to a plane crash - or even a couple - as evidence flying is unsafe when it just isn’t statistically true.

You are dealing with someone who is totally scared of this. Irrationally so. Good luck.

First of all unless you have MS, this is inconsequential. If you do have MS it's not conclusive at all that your chances of having a relapse is any greater. Having said that, anyone with an autoimmune disease should be careful about getting this vaccine. Fortunately I don't suffer from any autoimmune disease
A friend of an in-law of mine had an autoimmune issue, got the vaccine (at her doctor’s advice, and ended up with the worst reaction I’ve ever seen to anything. She was one giant rash head to toe, her legs were swollen to twice the normal size, and she felt like her skin was burning. She was in ICU for a while over that one.

kind of like this old commercial

0.1% pretty damn good odds by any measure. And you have this kicker on those cases.

“"We’re learning that many of the breakthrough infections are asymptomatic or they’re very mild and brief in duration," said Boston University infectious diseases specialist Davidson Hamer, according to the Boston Herald. "The viral load is not very high."”

So before the fear porn kicks in in the cases they observed the resulting issues were very mild. As you said perfect.
Good they aren’t spreaders, just like those of us who have had covid.

Has Duarte heard about Nuremburg?

The story from Manatee County FL isn't to extrapolate any stats. It's more simple than that: Vaccinations work!

Vaccinations do work. Even with the India/Delta variant, the people getting sick and dying now from that haven’t received the vaccine. Vaccinated people that test positive for the Delta one typically have mild symptoms and aren’t hospitalized. I would definitely recommend the mRNA vaccine as I do personally trust it. However, I am firmly supportive of people to decide they do not want the vaccine to make that risk assessment and deal with the potential consequences. Just like I did to receive the vaccine.

As this has been from the beginning - the media is generating clicks and fear by attention grabbing headlines that once you dig an inch further you can see it is really a nothing burger. The ‘bro’s and drama queens feed off of it.

I love the moving back and forth from real numbers to %’s depending on which sounds more ominous. It’s just a sad state of affairs.
Yep, and rounding up from 3,700 to 4,000. Yes, they used the word “almost” but they know that “almost” no one remembers the “almost”.

Tucker Carlson: Scientists want to use human engineering to solve climate change

Google may have funded science that caused COVID, next they may experiment to make children smaller

A few days ago, the Wall Street Journal held an event called the "Tech Health Conference." During the event, one reporter had a question for the head of Google's "Health Division," a man called David Feinberg.

Why, the reporter asked, was Google censoring searches for information about the possibility that COVID had escaped from a laboratory in China? Feinberg began by admitting the premise of the question. Yes, Google was in fact hiding information from its users, he effectively conceded. But it was for their own good. According to Feinberg, Google didn't want to, "lead people down pathways that we would find to be not authoritative information." Authoritative information. You’ve heard that phrase a lot in the last year, and phrases like it. "Authoritative information" is the opposite of "misinformation" — or worse, a "conspiracy theory."

It’s really important. All you’re allowed to see is authoritative information. So it’s worth knowing in this and many other cases, what is it? And where exactly did Google get its so-called "authoritative information." In this case, it came from a group led by a noted man of science called Peter Daszak. If the name sounds familiar, Peter Daszak is the person who almost single-handedly stopped virtually all public speculation about the lab leak early in the pandemic. Daszak did this in one swoop by organizing a letter to The Lancet -- one of the top scientific publications -- stating as fact that there was no possibility the coronavirus could have come from the lab in Wuhan. No chance. Many people believed him and they stopped looking. It was in The Lancet, after all. Almost no one asked why Peter Daszak might be saying this.

I was at the beach last week that was pretty sparse, and there was one black guy who was walking on the beach by himself with a mask on. I can’t imagine having that mindset.
Now do the white guys who live in gated communities but have 30 guns for protection.
