Depends on how the data are interpreted. He's basing it on the ratio of deaths to cases cured. Around 95% of those they know are infected are still at risk. Seems the official/conventional interpretation says the mortality rate is in the 2-3% range but it is still early days with this thing.

I agree. But it’s not accurate to claim it has a 50% mortality rate.

It is accurate. Now that can change if more people end up surviving it. But at a month in and only 150 people have beaten it and over 200 have died.

Wasn't AA the first major airline to suspend flights in & out of China? Or was it only to/from Beijing and Shanghai?

Add a 0 or two with what numbers they are spitting out. Even if they were trying to be truthful their numbers would be incorrect. Boarding and locking people in 10 story apartment buildings they have no way of knowing how many is sick or dead.

International cases do not seem to be increasing at the same rate as in China but it's still early, took a couple of months to ramp up there.

I hear the CDC has just confirmed the first person to person transfer inside the US.

Aren’t there several hospitals in Wuhan? If they can only test about 300 per day how many are going undiagnosed? How many have become to sick to get to a hospital or just given up on trying? How many with the virus are locked into their homes already? How many are dying without an “official” coronavirus diagnosis and their cause of death is being listed as something else due to that?
