tests in our summer preserve community. Again, I don't think anybody got seriously ill. I doubt that there will be any lockdowns unless people start
getting seriously ill in specific places. Masks could reappear---and the usual parts of the country can ignore them again.

I, unfortunately, am going on my first--and I hope my last--cruise trip very soon, and I worry that covid could become an issue. I hate the idea
of cruise ships to begin with, but got roped into this family major birthday cruise. The only thing worse than having to hang out with a bunch of drunk, strange, cruise-ship people would be having some sort of health outbreak. Fingers crossed.

I suggest you pack some hydrogen peroxide and enjoy your trip

Next time you feel you're exposed or going to be exposed, I suggest a one minute rinse with hydrogen peroxide. I'll link the research at the end but this study showed a rinse at the beginning of the day cut covid cases down to basically zero. They suggest watering 3% hydrogen peroxide down 50:50 with water and doing it at the beginning of the day. I think I'd do it a couple times a day. This has been done in my field (dental) since Covid broke out with great success. I would highly suggest doing this before one leaves for the airport, or whenever you're heading for a super spreader event. If you think you've been exposed, I'd suggest you do these rinses for about 5 days afterward.

There's something to be said for not having to fight for a pool chair and being able to eat at your own table whenever you want. The huge bathroom was nice, and the floor to celing glass shower was.... interesting ....

A second American tested positive for the new highly-mutated BA.2.86 Covid variant that has been causing global alarm over its rapid transmission.

Didn’t get tested because I didn’t feel like getting out of bed to waste my time for nothing and then get the full court press to take the jab….all for nothing. Took about four days of on again, off again fever, but nothing more than just annoying. Seeing more people driving around in their cars with masks on right now too.

There’ll be another “Covid wave” next fall and that’ll be used as an excuse to push for mail-in voting and further loosen requirements.

Next fall would be too late, they have to slowly turn up the heat like boiling a frog so by next fall we're full on panic again and too late for people to realize it.
