Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It's no worse than having Salmonella for 3 months (which I did). The thing I think is bad about the prep is that awful liquid you have to drink to clean you out. That stuff is N A S T Y

I don’t think it was salmonella, but I was sick at my stomach for close to 3 months after spending a week in Shanghai. It was pretty miserable.

The idea that it was a “wildly racist conspiracy” to consider that the novel coronavirus that popped up (in Wuhan) may have escaped from a lab (in Wuhan) that studied novel coronavirus - is just wild lol.

@lawgator1 - you still sticking with Bat Soup? Or are you coming around to the findings of:

DOE (I know, what do they know)
FBI
CIA

This one still really baffles me. Shows how gullible people can be.

A novel coronavirus breakout happens at the doorstep of a town that happens to house a coronavirus research lab and half the people cannot bring themselves to believe it most likely escaped from the lab.

🤣🤣🤣

Older people will tell you that today’s bowel prep is a delicacy compared to the older versions of the stuff. In addition to tasting worse, apparently it used to have a thick consistency as well. 🤮

I'm supposed to do one soon, you all are about to talk me out of it😅
I actually thought drinking the bowel prep would be worse than it is (and I had to have 3 colonoscopies in 3 years once I started them). Just make sure that you chug the whole damn thing quickly. This isn’t something you want to sip.

Oh yes propofol is a good sleep and a side effect is amnesia. Total relaxation.

Love that propofol sleep. When i woke up from back surgery (for good) I was in a lot of pain so the nurse hit me with some demerol? I think. I asked her if this was my first time waking up and she told me it was the third. I have no memory at all of the first couple times that I woke up. Happy about that.

unless you want nightmares don't look up how anesthesia (typically) works.

there is a reason so much can go wrong with it.

Yep. What's scary to me is when it does NOT work . People that wake up during surgeries, or the paralytic works but they're not knocked out and can feel/see the whole procedure but cant even blink or scream to tell them that they are conscious. Lots of ways that process can go wrong, including death. Even if they give you an amnesia inducing medicine so your conscious mind doesn't remember the trauma of something going wrong or you waking up early...your body and maybe brain still went through that experience. You can still have PTSD etc. I have an aunt that is an anesthetist. She has some crazy stories.

Amnesia is a blessing in disguise for most pts. I don’t want them remembering what being ventilated is like. We still have pts families freak out about propofol and Micheal Jackson. Explanations ensue always…

Just change out you breakfast cereal

I like my Count Chocula.

I used to call on General Mills down there near Atlanta..Cereal plant and they had a dedicated kiddie cereal facility. Smelled good lol.

edit..just joking about the count choula, as I eat Honey Nut Cheerios, butnow that I mention it wouldnt hurt my feelings to eat it.
