Shaffer brings a whole new dimension at QB, but the problem is, playing time. The future no doubt will be a battle between Crompton and Ainge, so where Shaffer sees himself fitting into that, well, that will be the decision maker. Me, if I am Shaffer, I would probably leave for a School that I could start or at least get good playing time. Crompton would have answered that question for me. Where does Cooter fit in all this?

If you have to ask, you probably don't need to know.

Ask U-T, he has diagrams. :naughty:

Jim Bob Cooter just wants to be a volunteer, even if that means standing on the sidelines signaling in plays. and Welcome to the nation Pa

The only guy I've ever heard of with a name even approaching Jim Bobb's was a SC baseball player a couple of years back named John Cootilangus.

Why does everybody think it will be Crompton vs. Ainge? Has the Cotton Bowl worn off already? Clausen starting is still a very real possibility.

:eek:lol:

I will give you that Clausen would start over Crompton. I don't think the CPF wants to go through the growing pains of starting another true freshman next year.... especially since he's re-recruited Jason Allen for the purpose of winning a national championship next year. But Clausen won't start unless Ainge gets hurt again. Ainge gives the Vols the best opportunity to win it all next year.

My sarcasm production is currently in energy save mode. I know Ainge will start next year, and I am looking forward to it.

slov it was Brandon Stewart, because I rooted for him in the 94 QB battle.

even great ones can learn from there mistakes. :dlol:

In my defense, Stewart was a better athlete than Peyton. And they were neck and neck when Cutcliffe went with Manning.

But yes, I have learned from my mistake.

i thought stewart was the better looking qb at the time too, but there again we don't see what the coaches see on the practice field... to wit I would not count Clausen out completely but IMO Ainge will get the starting job
