Final comment on this (for time being)...

1. We have a unproductive citizen problem

2. We have a Medicaid expansion in primarily blue states problem

3. We have an illegal immigration problem

We better get off our ass and get to work. I am concerned with the education system as well..ie STEM, worthless over priced degrees, lack of skilled and trained workers.

Instead if using a hate group's estimates (read their report, they will say its their estimates), lets look at actual numbers

In terms of %, Top 10 states with most immigrants

CT, MD, HI, MD, TX, NV, FL, NY, NJ, CA

Top 10 States with highest food stamp %

LA, NM, WV, OK, OR, MA, NV, IL, AL, NC

The fact that you rely on the SPLC to define hate groups speaks volumes about your lack of knowledge and lack of credibility.

Does NOT include SS or Medicare!

The bottom line takeaway is that democrats are guaranteed to get the votes of 39% of US born households and 54% of immigrant households. Nothing sells better than the promise of free chyt.

As dubious as CIS's estimates are, the offering of free chit is a valid point. The Ds are using Medicaid expansion to get votes. Medicaid eligibility rules vary widely by state. Nationwide, the ratio of Medicaid:SNAP recipients is ~2:1. In Cali, that ratio is almost 4:1. In the Northeast, it's 3:1 (or more). In the Southeast (excl FL) its 1.5:1.

You can make 70-80K in California and still qualify for Medi-Cal...

I think the easiest observation to make is that the cost of taking care of illegal immigrants "should" be zero. Illegal means "illegal" and they literally, by definition, shouldn't be here. Obviously that's nigh impossible but it being zero isn't the real problem either. No, the real problem is that the cost of illegal immigration IS high and it IS increasing and there ISN'T much apparent concern from the current federal government in addressing (or barely even acknowledging) the issue.

We'd clear up a lot of welfare issues if we stopped giving credits or money and instead shipped healthy food straight to the doorsteps of people eligible for benefits.
