Layoff.... (sigh)

The lay off should allow them the chance to evaluate their season and what's will take for them to be competitive in the tournament. They key issue is:

1. Have we figured out that the dribble dribble throw it inside offense has not worked; Not likely
2. Have they figured out that the offense they played in the 3 games prior to MSU works best for these players; Nope
3. Will Holly play Moore because she is playing better than Russell; Nope
4. Will Russell be aggressive and will she realize that you are not suppose to stand by and watch the game as Graves get beat up by rebounders from the other team; Russell likes to watch.
5. Will Carter pay attention and reduce unforced errors; Carter likes to dribble, she actually smiles doing it.
6. Will Holly play her three shooting specialist prior to the game getting out of hand; Nope
7. Will Holly figure out how to make substitutions;&
8. Will we play like a team of 7 5 stars.
Nope and nope

Nope and nope

You got that right. If Holly was unable to get her team prepared after an non-conference and regular season don't expect a miracle from her coaching during the tourney.

She had 12 different starting line ups through out the course of the season. That tells you she doesn't know her personnel and what they are capable of doing by putting them in successful situations.

All I know is I am hoping for the best. I want to see the team that I envisioned during preseason show up.

So in spite of Holly I want the Lady Vols to win.
Maybe Mercedes Russell was just holding back and now she's going to show us all what a great player she is?

To people satisfied with being one of the top 16 teams in the country, a good year.

To a program with 8 national championships, maybe not so good. More like a mediocre year. By traditional LV standards, maybe even a bad year (or at least a down year).

Would Auriemma, McGraw, Mulkey, or Staley consider making it to the Sweet Sixteen to be a good year?
