LBs who are we after

Travis Hughes from VA as well, not sure what our chances are, although UNC probably slipped, since they once were his leader.

Big Orange Bo, I totally agree on your assessment of Dunaway. He is so average from the one game I saw him.

My point was that if you told someone in the game I watched that a D1 player was on the field and pick him out. Maybe 1 in 10 people would have picked him, and that was b/c he was a good FB running up the middle. He does not stand out or look different than anyone else on the field.

I'm not sold on Dunaway either, I just know we're pursuing. I've always heard Meadows is the best defensive player in that area.

I like the Harris kid we have and Johnson will be a beast with that motor. Gionni Paul seems to be our best shot and sounds like we are still after turene.

I think everyone saw this wknd we have huge deficiencies at LB, hence the thread was posted.

I agree w/ chavisut that AJ is not a LB but more of the DE in the Chris Walker mode (i.e. when we goto the 3-4 for a few plays here and there he may standup). Obviously Chuck Smith is his main contact w/ the university and Chuck visited him last Friday so that tells you alot.

So we got Christian Harris, who best case scenario is a contributor in years 3-4. He is not currently an elite talent that is ready to contribute as a starter.

So who do we get that can in year one would be an impact player????????????

The LB's we have the best shot with at Paul, Townsend, and Dunaway. Townsend is very comparable to Wright with the way his recruitment is going. I hope Dunaway gets here. He is physically ready but his grades aren't great, and I like Paul (just not sure of our chances).
