LBs who are we after

i think we'll only take one more lb, only 10 spots left for this class

I understand the limited number of scholarships left, but I also know that we are in dire need of SEC quality LB's, as yesterday's game attested.

IF we can get commitments out of Paul, Townsend or Dawson, we will take the first two that commit, in my opinion.

Dunaway is a raw talent that would have to be a project, assuming he can make his grades. We cannot afford projects in this class, nor can we afford to gamble on grades.

By the way, I think Harris may surprise you. I believe he is better than you think.

I'm wondering what others we have besides the one's committed. Not talking down on Harris.

That's seems odd, b/c Chuck Smith seems to be his primary recruiter where it was Lance when he was smaller.

After a guy is committed, you would think the coach who spends the most time on him would be his position coach, and Chuck went to see AJ Friday.

I agree usually that is true, but in this case Lance was his primary recruiter and then it switched to Smith so it appeared to me that happened as AJ's size kept increasing.

He is what 250 now? In a year or 2 how could he not be 265-270?

I really hope AJ Johnson stays an LB...it seems like we always convert big, capable LBs to the dline.

really? Raynoch?

as fast/quick as raynoch was...

Raynoch came as a safety, AJ is being talked about by most as a DE prospect

IMO the two are polar opposites :twocents:

Anyone know anything about Dawson, like where we stand with him and when he's expected to make a commitment? He's from my area and I'd love it if he'd become a Vol.

if this is the crew that TN is after, who are the ones at signing day?
people say 2-3 more LBs, is there any in this group that turn out to be no good? would TN be solid with any of them?

IMO our best chance is with Paul & Dunaway. Some people say that Townsend is just playing the recruiting game & we wont know for sure where he goes until NSD. Dawson would be a great pull from KY but alot of good schools are on him. Some people say that Dunaway is'nt D1 caliber, but I do know he is physically ready for SEC football. Paul I have no feel for & have no idea how he stacks up talent wise.

We want Paul badly, and we can get him I think.

I think we'd call it quits for the LB class with Paul, A.J., and Harris.

I like Harris more and more when I see his film, but let's say we have Paul and A.J., but don't have room for Walls, C. Jones, or someone else big. Also, would the staff rather have Harris than Dunaway? Do you think we would part ways with Harris or any other recruit that is currently committed to take someone like that?
