Leach will be the one to dethrone Saban

You're right, I miscounted on my phone. But point still remains. Granted some of that works in Leach's favor since in Price's first 8 seasons they only played 11 games so Leach usually got one more cupcake to beat. But Price also had no conference title game so a tie made WSU Conference Champs. In Leach's 7th season they went 7-2 and under the same conditions Price had they would have won a share of the conference title.

Price inherited a 9 win team built by Dennis Erickson

Leach inherited a team that had gone 9-40 the prior 4 seasons

Some context is needed....

Again just asked a simple question. Why is it so hard to answer?
In no particular order:

at #11 Louisville, 2016
at #25 Florida, 2018
#14 Miss St, 2018
#12 Penn St, 2018
2014 South Carolina
2017 South Carolina
2017 Missouri
2018 South Carolina
2018 Missouri
2020 #24 NC State

I already know the retort. "If wins over South Carolina and Mizzou are in your top 10 then you suck!" Dude...it's Kentucky. He's consistently beaten teams like that, and each of those wins listed was against a bowl eligible-team.

His best team ever and he was outcoached severely By Pruitt
...and that's the biggest indictment against him. I'm been 100% clear about that from the beginning. Actually, his two best teams have lost to Tennessee (2018 and this year).

The only thing you can really hold against Stoops is his bad record against Tennessee. He should be much better than 2-7; Vandy has managed to go 4-4 against us over the same timeframe.

I’d probably include this years Florida win on the list. Florida was still actually playing well at the time. It wasn’t until the loss to UGA that they quit on Mullen.

I could have, but UF so completely imploded that I think those wins over South Carolina and Mizzou were more impressive.

Every team you mentioned except for 10-3 Florida had between 4-6 losses. They weren’t good teams. He doesn’t beat anyone good period and he loses more often than not to everyone else.

So what would Stoops have to do to impress you? You are evaluating Stoops as though Kentucky is a historical juggernaut program.

This list of top 10 victories would not be impressive at Alabama, Ohio St, or even Tennessee. It is pretty good at Kentucky. I mean, do you not understand that Kentucky is not a good program historically?

Losing to archrivals is a long established trend with Leach. He lost the last 7 games in a row he coached against Washington at WSU.
Leach has also always coached at "little brother" schools. Texas Tech, Washington St, and Miss St. He's never going to consistently beat Texas, Washington, and Ole Miss at those places.

If he’d quit losing to garbage teams like Memphis, maybe he’d actually get a job better than a “little brother”
He'll never get a job better than a little brother because 1) I don't think he wants one, 2) he's a weird dude that would mix like oil and water with well-heeled, aristocratic boosters and 3) I think how he departed Texas Tech still scares some people off. Miss St is by far the most pressure job he's had.

Leach is actually smarter in a way that most other coaches, who are job hopping "the grass is greener somewhere else" guys. He stays at schools for a long time and wins enough to keep heat off him, while at the same time consistently losing to the great teams.

Only down 20 to 7 with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd qtr and the idiot goes for it on 4th and 16. Promptly gives up a sack and the ball over to TT. Man, I am so glad we didn’t get that buffoon as our coach.

This sh*t again. What titles would you expect him to win at Texas Tech? Especially since he coached there at a time when Texas and Oklahoma were two of the top five programs in America. That’s like saying James Franklin did it do a good job at Vandy because he never won the Eastern division title.

And one “great” season? You don’t consider going 11-2 at WASU a great season? His 43 wins from 2015-2019 are the most over any 5-year stretch in school history. So obviously he’s just a mediocre coach.
Obviously 😂😂😂

To be fair, Miss State is playing without several starters. Not sure how many, but its more than a few on both sides of the ball.

And at least Florida and Mizzou and Auburn were competitive in their losses
This is typical SEC. Bowl games are mostly about who wants it. Most SEC schools after running through a regular season gauntlet, couldn’t care less about some of these lesser bowl games. That being said it’s not a very good look
