Thanks Milo . . . That was interesting to see. So it's happened 3 times in the past 27 years and it's been 19 years since somebody won the Heisman with 4 losses. I sure didn't remember Auburn losing 4 games in 1985. They were #1 in the country when we played them.

The last time a Heisman winner won the award with 4 losses was 1980.

Looks like '88 Notre Dame, '85 Auburn and '80 USC all had 4 losses, but only had 3 losses when the Heisman Trophy was awarded.

The 1987 and 1985 winners had 3 losses when they won the Heisman. The 1980 winner already had 4 losses.

"The 1980 winner?" Hard to call a South Carolina player a Heisman winner, huh?

Leak, behind a really good offensive line and with speedy receivers could easily put up Hiesman-type numbers. As someone noted, Leak could pass Wuerffel's career yardage. The problem is that system and the offensive line. Leak has a very strong arm but even he can't throw 30 yards flat on his back.

Judging by Leak's performance last year and in Spring Practice I'd say he has as much chance as a jogger right next to a hungry gator.

QB Pat White of West virginia is looking like a strong hyped up qb. Lots of writers are having WV in the top 5 and this guy nearly ran for a 1000 yards after becoming a started in October and will ber a soph this year.
