He delivered his whole "Lane Kiffin is Miley Cyrus" spiel that got so much pub by reading it verbatim off a sheet of paper in his lap. He would flash his eyes up to the camera for a second and then look right back down to his notes. That's when I rolled my eyes and changed the channel. He is definitely out of his league. For the most part College Gameday is a solid, well informed show, and he is the football Jerry Springer.
That's what I'm hoping. No way they could botch that hire so bad. I have no idea why he's getting air time now though. He adds nothing of value to the show.
I'm pretty sure the hate for Spurrier has diminished quite a bit in the decade since he left UF. I for one kind of like him now, even though he still coaches an SEC opponent.
Plus I'd love to see him make snide remarks about other teams all the time.
